3yo DD has been asking repeatedly for "toy wee-wee". I'm not quite sure how she pictures this but she's very clear. I know I haven't misheard as she has also been clear that she doesn't want toy poo-poo. Not sure how to proceed - some weak cold tea in a bottle? Don't want to give her anything that tastes nice as that could end badly...

Leatherboundanddown · 07/12/2016 22:10

A punnet of strawberries

NameChanger22 · 07/12/2016 22:11

DD asked for Blu Tack one year.

Another year she wanted a dog called Bob.

Last year she asked for 100 Shopkins.

This year she says she wants less stuff. Christmas is cheap this year.

elQuintoConyo · 07/12/2016 22:15

False teeth. He is 5yo.

MrsCK · 07/12/2016 22:21

This post is brilliant! Thank you all so much you've made my evening :)

Yup I think cold tea sounds good for the toy wee!

Shoes for Sophie, only problem was that was her imaginary friend!

This was my friends daughter and what they ended up doing as wrapping an empty shoebox Grin and wouldn't you know it, Sophie got the exact same shoes as the little girl already had Wink

FeelingSmurfy · 07/12/2016 23:23

imogen could it be a toy THAT wees? Like a doll that you give a drink to and it wees it back out

Rolypoly · 07/12/2016 23:41

Ds2 asked for a fez when he was about 13.

mrsbooklover · 07/12/2016 23:56

By 5yr old has asked for an carpet beater Hmm

PinkFluffiUnicorn · 08/12/2016 00:47

When my oldest was 4, (now 17) he asked for bubble wrap! The best fun he's ever had jumping up and down, I've got him some every year since!!

attheendoftheday · 08/12/2016 01:06

Dd2 age 3 has consistently asked for a toy carrot that is squishy and a toy rock that is squishy. She is getting both.

Another request is a doll that is called Rosie. I have got a doll, sourced a hat for the doll and embroidered Rosie on it. I bet she doesn't even remember!

Wallywobbles · 08/12/2016 02:40

Handcuffs when aged about 3.

nooka · 08/12/2016 03:08

I can't remember any specific requests (kids now teenagers) but for many years my two said the best gift ever were the battery operated toothbrushes I put in their stockings when they were 4 and 5.

Greenfingeredfun · 08/12/2016 08:06

Thanks justspeak, I will have s google. We've always joined in with the shoebox appeal as it seemed such a lovely thing to do. Hadn't realised Sad

bonbonours · 08/12/2016 09:40

I see she's not the only one but my 8 year old who can never think of anything she wants has asked Santa for cheese strings because mean nasty mum says they are overpriced rubbish and won't buy them. Also my 6 year old is getting a butchers voucher as he keeps on about wanting steak whenever I offer him cheese on toast or pasta for dinner.

DS is 2,5 and so it's the first Christmas he can actually ask for things (an ability which he exercises often!). He is obsessed with vacuum cleaners and upon being given (!!!) the Argos catalogue decided he wanted a Dyson. The latest model, Dyson, in fact, which costs a few hundred pounds. He was convinced that the postman would bring it to him. He'll be getting a child's Henry Hoover off his nana. "Byoo candyfuffs" (blue candy floss) is also on his list.

Purplefrogshoes · 08/12/2016 09:51

Dc asked for a Dyson catalogue

Dn asked for a glove that shoots webs like spiderman but real webs not the toys with silly string Xmas Grin

trixymalixy · 08/12/2016 09:54

DD asked for a barbie with a brown jumper. I had to make the jumper out of an old cardigan as there is no other colour of barbie clothes apart from pink and ebay didn't come up with anything.

She opened the barbie first. said "hmm, no brown jumper" and discarded it, she literally chucked it over her shoulder. It was very funny, in her defence she was only 3.

Barbie never wore the brown jumper.

ashtrayheart · 08/12/2016 09:56

Ds used to ask for a Michael Jackson outfit, specifically the one from Smooth criminal!

shinny · 08/12/2016 10:00

DD asked for a pineapple (Charlie and Lola) when she was about 6.
Last year she asked for a hedgehog....she's 14!!

Becstarlenski · 08/12/2016 10:00

60cm chocolate santa !!

gamerchick · 08/12/2016 10:08

Imogen could it be a toy THAT wees? Like a doll that you give a drink to and it wees it back out

I had the same thought. ^

My 9 yr old wants Wilson from castaway. He's still very concerned about that ball so wants me to invite him to live here.

Aw he's out of stock. Many thanks though I didn't think of actually looking for him Grin who would have thought he was that popular.

Ooo I could make his Christmas here!

kiwiscantfly · 08/12/2016 10:27

When DD was 2.11 she asked for a green box. She was a late talker and deciphering this was quite a challenge. On Christmas Day she opened the parcel with the green box inside and burst into tears. Apparently she'd wanted a small box for holding treasures not this one foot square box. Said green box (which was bloody hard to find) gets used all the time and every time I see it I smile.
