I bought one for DH(!) a couple of years ago. Maybe other sites have him too?

spiderlight · 08/12/2016 10:37

DS (9) asked me last night for a pet scorpion in a tank. Erm, no......

A few years ago (massively outing myself here) the top item on his letter for Santa was 'A tin of laim green paint' - he was obsessed with lime green at the time and was going to use it to paint all his belongings.

gamerchick · 08/12/2016 10:39

He's on amazon, I'm all over it Grin

PebbleInTheMoonlight · 08/12/2016 11:11

DD1 this year (age 9) has asked for a bin...it is literally the only thing on her Christmas list.

AllTheBabies · 08/12/2016 11:20

My 6yo has asked for blu tac. She just loves the stuff!

A few years ago she asked for a Christmas jumper that had rudolf pulling Santa's sleigh but santa is a snowman. I crafted and sewed for hours to make that one but come Christmas day she had seemingly forgotten all about wanting it Grin

MrsHathaway · 08/12/2016 11:23

I remember the year I asked for double-sided tape and got it. I can still picture it wrapped and unwrapped. I made it last for months.

storynanny · 08/12/2016 11:43

When my middle son was about 5 all he wanted one christmas was a silver pencil
Eldest son was always very precise, one year I had to track down an England football 3rd away kit

storynanny · 08/12/2016 11:45

And in pre internet days unusual requests were so tricky!

MooseAndSquirrel · 08/12/2016 11:48

force in his hand sorry cant remember the username....but I've an idea!
sew some magnets into the fingers of a pair of gloves -opposing sides will let him "feel the force" and he can hold his hand over all sorts of little objects that will fly up to him Grin

BitOutOfPractice · 08/12/2016 11:48

An umbrella hat

DustingOffTheDynastySuit · 08/12/2016 11:54

DD has asked for something along the lines of 'a giraffe whose nose you press''

I assume it is a toy they have at school but I have NO CLUE what she is on about.

She's getting a dragon toy and a puppet theatre which she has previously asked for though.

ParrotPudding · 08/12/2016 11:56

DD, nearly 4 wants a cup of tea. She's adamant that it must be 'strong but with no sugar'.

wheresthewine36 · 08/12/2016 12:08

DS (4) wants a "bag of noses" Hmm I have no idea what he means...am fervently hoping it is a mispronunciation. Further questioning resulted in "you know what they are!" Confused

ResistTheCraving · 08/12/2016 12:45

My 6 are old DD has asked for a video camera to set up her own YouTube Kids channel. I asked her what she wanted to do a channel about and she said "just looking after my dollies and shopping"

Xmas Hmm Xmas Confused I don't think so!!

Hopelass · 08/12/2016 12:55

Ds (3) asked for a black yoyo yesterday. Why black I've no idea.

Underparmummy · 08/12/2016 12:59

My db used to ask for a goat for xmas between the ages of 2 and 4. He never got one.

staveleymum · 08/12/2016 12:59

My DS aged about 5/6, while stirring his wish into the Christmas Pudding, asked if he could be next in line to the Throne! He'd obviously been doing a project at school about the Royal Family and as his name is William, thought it was a possibility!

shouldwestayorshouldwego · 08/12/2016 13:22

Dd asked for immortality when she was about 5. Googling revealed no game or toy called immortality. Gentle probing revealed that she did indeed want to be immortal. We don't know yet whether Father Christmas granted that wish but we are encouragingly her not to test it. Six years on and it's looking promising Grin

dylsmimi · 08/12/2016 14:12

Ds1 asked for chocolate biscuits one christmas Eve - luckily he went to bed before the shops shut
Ds2 wants 'a Train with a dinosaur on or in it' after gentle questioning about where he had seen it we think We've tracked it down
Ds wants a game they stopped making in 1985! When I said Father Christmas may not manage that he said 'the elves can make one for me' Xmas Confused blooming elves!!

GhostInTheBackOfYourHead · 08/12/2016 14:28

DS8 has asked for a mobility scooter. With a roof. He doesn't have any mobility issues but we do live in an area popular with many "elderlies". Grin

Narnian · 08/12/2016 14:46

I remember a mumsnetter last year or the year before who's child just wanted Cillit Bang. Even now I giggle when I think of it!

Flippetydip · 08/12/2016 14:58

A kit-kat when DS was 4, that's all he wanted. I was distraught - I NEVER buy Nestle!

This year (now 7) I asked if he'd written a letter to Fr. Christmas and he just said "no, I'll just get what I'm given". That's easy then Xmas Grin.

ThursdayNextIsMyHero · 08/12/2016 15:01

ds wanted a bone (he wanted to be a dog)

NanFlanders · 08/12/2016 15:08

DS, aged three wanted a rope, just a rope. Me: "Why a rope?" Him: "For rescuing people", Me: "From what?", Him: "Mud".

ImogenTubbs · 08/12/2016 15:56

gamerchick and feelingsmurfy, I have asked her that and no, she wants toy wee-wee. Whenever she goes to the toilet we have his conversation:
HER: "I like wee-wee Mummy, but I don't like poo-poo. Which do you like, wee-wee or poo-poo?"
ME: "Erm, I don't really like either or them, but I don't mind as long as they're in the toilet."
HER: "Well, I like wee-wee. Can I have some toy wee-wee?"
ME: "Ermmm......"
