My dd asked for a mini statue of a deer when she was 7.

Last year my dd asked for Jewels Grin

My dd aged around 6 or 7 wanted a real hedgehog! We had rescued one that was poorly in the autumn & it went to the local wildlife sanctuary. Dd was gutted 🙁 my mum bought her a toy one. She has given that to my dgd now 😊

Our 8 year old wants a whiteboard for Christmas, not a kids one but one like you have in an office at work. I've got one second hand on eBay.

burblish · 09/12/2016 22:07

When DS1 was 3, he asked for a pink, squeaky rubber elephant. Er...that would be a dog toy, then! This year, he wants a three volume set of books about how to ride a skateboard. He has specifically requested that the volumes cover "basic, medium and advanced skills" respectively. Thankfully, he reluctantly accepted that looking at videos on YouTube would be a better way to learn!

DS(7)) was writing his list and had included an iPad, a Hatchimal and the Lego Star Wars Millennium Falcon. I suggested that he could be a bit more mindful of Santa's budget so he added "Packet of crisps (ready salted)" and "Can of Diet Coke"...

Last year my DD (then 8yrs) asked Santa for a real live "elf to make her lots of toys." Managed to persuade her that the elf would miss his elf-friends, & she'd be too shy to live with him...She ended up asking Santa for "an elf, but not a real one." Santa brought her a knitted elf :)

My DS once asked Santa for a piece of coal. He was really chuffed when he got it & took it to show his cousins...

Wheresthewine - could your "bag of noses" be the Percy pig rosy noses from M&S?

wineandcrisps · 10/12/2016 00:26

My DS1 (3) wants a remote controlled chicken, I think he also wants it to be able to lay eggs. Help.

ladyjadey · 10/12/2016 00:36

I have had to provide : a camel

  • a pink ukulele
  • a chocolate hedgehog

I couldn't find a chocolate hedgehog. Funnily, she doesn't believe in Santa this year. I managed the other 2.

Laddo, (14 year old son) asked for a bearded dragon.

In our house, we've always written Christmas lists (even me and hubs). We don't get everything on the list, but it saves buying stuff that's not wanted or appreciated.

Our daughter turned 18 in October. At the beginning of November, I asked them for their Christmas lists. Daughter's reply was, "really? You mean I can still write a Christmas list now I'm 18?"

Bless.

pollymere · 10/12/2016 11:33

A pet marshmallow and a wishing square. I made both of them out of felt.

SapphireStrange · 10/12/2016 11:35

MaisieDotes · 10/12/2016 12:00

Pet marshmallow wouldn't last long in this house.

RuggerHug · 10/12/2016 13:55

I only wanted a sandwich the Christmas I was 3/4 ish. My poor Granddad was worried I was starving and my DM was baffled as I was saying this for weeks. Turns out there was a pop up book called Sams Sandwich I had seen somewhere. Grin

lozzylizzy · 10/12/2016 20:40

Blue tack

Jaxhog · 11/12/2016 12:46

When I was 12, I asked for a chemistry set. So my dad got one made up by the chemists at work. It was my all time favourite Christmas present. The walls of our old house probably still have the scars from the explosions.

Booboobedoo · 11/12/2016 12:49

One year dos asked for a real working canon with gunpowder, the next year he asked for 'a time travelling suit.'

He's a blue-sky thinker.

Booboobedoo · 11/12/2016 12:50

Ds, not dos.

Mum23Monsters · 11/12/2016 17:54

wherethewine36 a bag of noses could maybe be reindeer noses, it's maltesers with a red foil wrapped chocolate ball, I have made them before with my kids for school just google reindeer noses and it will bring you up lots of sites to download free printables to staple to a plastic sandwich bag.

Mum23Monsters · 11/12/2016 18:06

Vladi10 would DD maybe accept some felt leaves think I have seen some on Hobbycraft or Amazon - www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_2?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=felt+leaves+&rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3Afelt+leaves+ failing that poundland do foam ones you can decorate?
