My DD's list is quite non-specific, a jigsaw, a board game, & so on until she gets to X-box games where she's asked for ALL the ones big bro wants (he feels he's too old for a letter to Santa but is hedging his bets by influencing her. She's also asked for lots of sweaties? When I pointed out she might mean sweeties she just shrugged. Couple of years ago she asked for a hot tub - Santa failed her that year

DD1 wanted a Thomas the tank engine when she was about 3 -I was a bit Hmm as she had never shown any interest in that before but I bought her a Thomas wooden train set...
Then we were coming out of Tescos and she said she wasn't going to ask me for a ride (she asked, I always said no - DP let her go on them) because she was getting one from Santa ...yep she thought she was getting one of the big ride on things from outside the supermarket...
I then had to go through how there would be no room in her bedroom for any other toys etc - I didn't think santa could get it upstairs (he could - he's magic Hmm) -nothing really convinced her and I was a bit worried but on Christmas morning by the time she'd opened her other presents she was happy with her train set...especially cos we would have had to give her other presents away to have the space Grin

Thursday I asked for a bone as well when I was about three or four! One I still have knocking around somewhere, the other I buried in the garden and never found again. Grin

"That line in the sky". DS 2, about a plane vapour trail.

"A rubbish lorry, with real rubbish - and men". DS 1.

They're grown up now...

Herschellmum · 08/12/2016 18:11

2nd kid wants a sheep, a real one, he is completely sheep obsessed, no sheep for him, least not while I'm living here.

Eldest wants snails, on Monday for his birthday he gets 2 giant African land snails.

My 3rd wants a ginea pig ...or a micro pig.

There is a theme here ... 😂

My 4ths only 2 so nothing unusual there, well she, despite being very girly want a spider, that's not happening either. Poor kids haha.

Snails are fine though. Can't wait to see his face Monday.

DD this year has asked for a snowman and cake. She's 2.5 so I doubt she'll remember! She will have cake though.

beautygal29 · 08/12/2016 18:26

My 4yo wants a chipper it took us ages to work out what he meant. It turns out it's the thing they use to scoop the fries with in Burger King! He thinks it's the best thing ever!

roseteapot101 · 08/12/2016 18:28

a magical dinosaur, ok then

BikeRunSki · 08/12/2016 18:30

DD(5) - marshmallows

RedGrapeCornSnake · 08/12/2016 18:34

DS between the ages of about 2 and 5 was desperate for an aqua lazer steam mop (too much TV I think) he didn't get one

DD age 5 - despite being terrified of spiders really wanted a pet tarantula (they're totally different apparently) request also denied

TayElsMum · 08/12/2016 18:38

Wow that link is really long! Sorry about that! Lol 😁

Randytortoise · 08/12/2016 18:39

Not Christmas but for his 3rd birthday ds2 asked for a Christmas tree. Luckily he is November born so we got him a small one. I think it may have to stay up all year as I don't think I have the heart to make him take it down in January!

2gorgeousboys · 08/12/2016 18:43

DS2 is the strange child with odd requests in our house. Previous letters to Father Christmas have included a towel with his name on (age 8), a baby sister (age 7) and an electric pencil sharpener (age 9).

fishybits · 08/12/2016 18:45

DD (4) on her Father Christmas letter is a request for a tightrope with handles and a bridge with a plastic river Hmm

Miloarmadillo1 · 08/12/2016 18:46

6yr old DS wants a cuckoo clock.

thisagain · 08/12/2016 18:46

My 3 year old daughter wanted a grabber but actually asked for a bum pincher!

peppercorns3 · 08/12/2016 18:53

Found DD's letter to Santa written when she was about 5/6.

A Pineapple was on the list! 🙄 for some reason I don't remember her actually getting one, so guess what she will find in her stocking this year! 😜 (She's now 15)

Ladydepp · 08/12/2016 18:57

Handcuffs

ds was about 6 or 7.

That was literally ALL he wanted. I ended up buying him a policeman's dress up outfit from John Lewis complete with plastic handcuffs. He was thrilled.

I wish I had a photo of him handcuffing my MIL to her bedroom door, hilarious! Grin

CupofTeaTime · 08/12/2016 19:09

A jelly maker. He hates jelly Hmm

iMogster · 08/12/2016 19:16

My 6 year old:
A chocolate ice cream (Santa said he will leave it in the freezer as it will go melted in his stocking)
A Guava can of drink (this is something I have sometimes and the boys only have a sip each. The idea of having a whole one all to himself is, in his words, EPIC! He is giddy at the thought)
A Dyson hairdryer Xmas Confused £300 and his hair is only an inch long

My 4 year old:
A poo (I have bought a lovely poo emoticon cushion) Xmas Grin
After hearing his brother is having a Guava drink, he needs one too.

tanyadm · 08/12/2016 19:31

"Slippers, a pencil, and a book I haven't read yet." - 3yo.

riojaandcorrie · 08/12/2016 19:36

My 8 yr old daughter wants:

Tites - thank goodness she put the e in

Pears - yip the ones you eat, cos I'm a crap ma.

5 yr old list is a tad longer and commercialised.

HubrisComicGhoul · 08/12/2016 19:41

My twins want Dragon. Oh and some horses so the Dragon has something to eat. Confused

4 year olds are weird.

nickelbabeinamanger · 08/12/2016 20:06

Beauty they really are the best thing ever.
I used to love doing fries when I worked at burger king Grin
