Sorry if this has been done.

Does anyone know when they are planning on releasing other than 'early November'?

It was the first of November last year!

Anyone got any idea on what it might be?

NoahVale · 10/11/2016 08:04

its not a bowie song,
Sad
still made me cry though.

NoahVale · 10/11/2016 08:06

cry and laugh, though i was holding myself back in case I was fooled again.

Kirriemuir · 10/11/2016 08:06

Here you go

mouldycheesefan · 10/11/2016 08:09

Very funny it made me laugh

lottieandmia · 10/11/2016 08:15

I think it's really sweet - much better than last years one (just odd IMO)

Aww i loved it better than creepy auld man with telescope.

literallytotally · 10/11/2016 08:17

They have just copied this.

Very poor effort.

Kirriemuir · 10/11/2016 08:23

Christ some folk are miserable.

OpheIiaBaIIs · 10/11/2016 08:28

It's cute but not madly festive - few tweaks and it could be a summer ad. Aldi's ad is much better!

IamChipmunk · 10/11/2016 08:36

It's cute but not massively Christmassy somehow. Still, better than last year as pp have said.

Not seen Aldis - off to Google!

gunting · 10/11/2016 08:37

Bit rubbish innit

Tobebythesea · 10/11/2016 08:41

It made me laugh but it is a bit odd. The Aldi one is lovely.

starrynight19 · 10/11/2016 08:46

So pleased they have ditched the sadness and embraced the fun of xmas. I absolutely love Buster so funny.
Aldis Kevin is great love that advert.

DoYouRememberJustinBobby · 10/11/2016 08:51

I really like it, hated last years effort.

TheOnlyPink · 10/11/2016 09:49

Don't like it at all. It's boring, and feel they've "outed" Santa a bit. I know it's no big deal, but I think it takes from the magic.
Aldis one is terrific, really sweet, very festive and all round feel good ad.

PJBanana · 10/11/2016 09:53

I really liked it, found it heart warming and funny! Much better than the last couple of years, although I do agree it could be more festive.

Not sure how they've 'outed' Father Christmas. Loads of Christmas adverts allude to people buying presents, not Father Christmas. OR perhaps he delivered the trampoline on his sleigh and asked her dad to assemble it?! Grin

SantasLittleMonkeyButler · 10/11/2016 09:56

It's OK, but really not worth all of the hype and "teaser" clips Confused.

It's better than last year's, yes, but nowhere near as good as the snowmen one or the one with the bear a couple of years ago.

I much prefer Aldi's carrot this year Grin.

CryingShame · 10/11/2016 10:02

DS would love the hedgehog bouncing but why is dad assembling a trampoline when at DS' age presents are still brought by FC? Thanks John Lewis, really well thought out. Sad

TheSunnySide · 10/11/2016 11:12
Aldi Australia!
whittingtonmum · 10/11/2016 11:48

I like #bustertheboxer :)

But regardless what you think of it I would recommend checking out this new video: www.facebook.com/stopfundinghate/videos/356313188039351/?pnref=story

because surely the gift everyone wants for Xmas is the gift of love so if you want to get involved why not ask @johnlewis retail to #stopfundinghate

mouldycheesefan · 10/11/2016 11:48

, parents buy their children presents too. Not all gifts are from Santa. But if you are worried tell the kids Santa delivered it in the box and dad put it together.

mouldycheesefan · 10/11/2016 11:49

Yes if all toys are from Santa why are they advertised on tv at all?

lottieandmia · 10/11/2016 11:52

Why are adults so precious about Santa? For one thing, it's a lie and I think it's more for the benefit of the adults than the children TBH. The problem is that children all find out at different times, usually from school what the truth is and it's not nice to find out from someone else TBH.
