I love the John Lewis ads. They are usually terrific. and a Bowie song is a fitting accolade. and yes, they do make me cry

Releasing a Christmas ad that was actually somebody's a level coursework would have been a genius move.

I heard that on the radio too Laundry. I am sure they said the ad featured a space hopper, but I may have misheard due to DS making a racket in the back of the car.

Ooh apparently Sainsbury's are having a David Bowie song. Seems the Sains one beat the JL advert last year! Good!

Was it Sainsburys who had the advert of the two opposing sides in the War sharing a bar of chocolate?

If so, I thought that ad was mawkish and horrible tbh.

They had Mog didn't they? I think the soldiers was the year before.

I didn't like the sainsbury mog advert I thought it was boring, unoriginal and went on too long.

I have high hopes for this year's JL ad after last year's disappointment. I liked the penguin Real Love one year before last best I think.

What was every ones favourite so far?

I'm not bothered by the JL ad...the Aldi one is fab

I ordered a toddler bed duvet. they messed up with stock so badly and 4 weeks later still nothing. they offered me a king size to make up for it. just let that logic percolate a while.
