Singing Santa is £110 Xmas Shock I think I'd rather spend the ££ on wine and sing myself.

MrsD parcel is posted...

MrsDilligaf · 29/09/2016 19:12

Woolly

I love you Grin

I ordered the Yankee candles christmas crackers from QVC t'other day. The are supposed to be presents. The thing is I really really want one for myself. WIBU to "forget" who I bought one for?

I had an email today from Ocado - the slots for Christmas delivery are released on 20th October. I'm bagging me one of those bad boys.

I appear to have a malfunctioning baby.... from 12 weeks she has slept through aside from the rare occasion.

Evidently Martha thinks that 00.40 is the ideal time to perfect her dinosaur impression and work on her singing...both are very endearing at a sensible daytime hour, not so endearing at this moment.

Two nights on the trot. I'm hoping that this is a blip!

My 2 year old reverted back to his one waking / come in with us ways last night. Little monkey! He was sounding quite snotty though, so I'm not surprised we wanted to join us, bless him.

MrsDilligaf · 30/09/2016 10:36

A huge thank you this morning to Woolly who has made Martha a wonderful hat!

Tried to get her to smile but she's not speaking to me on account of the fact I wiped her face....

It's lovely - Thank you so much xx

TheWoollybacksWife · 30/09/2016 11:51

Oh my goodness MrsD she is adorable.

That look on her face! She looks as if she is plotting your downfall Xmas Shock "Yes mother. Show this to your cronies on the Internet and sleep will be a thing of the past..." Xmas Grin

Did you like your snowflakes?

HairsprayBabe · 30/09/2016 11:54

Martha could be in an xmas catalogue. She is so lovely.

MrsDilligaf · 30/09/2016 21:10

Lolly

Thank you. I am biased - obviously - but she is gorgeous. She's a happy little soul and has generally got a big smile on her face as in this pic apart from when I wipe her nose

Woolly the snowflakes are equally beautiful. Martha is having a tree in her room so they will be hung on her tree Xmas Grin

I've bought one of the hobby craft felt trees for the playroom. Wilfred and Gabriel can rearrange that to their hearts content!

She is adorable :-)

MrsDilligaf · 30/09/2016 21:16

Waves to AvDemeisen.

I post regularly on two topics and "talk" to some very nice people. This thread is my favourite though because we just mooch along nattering about not much aside from how many days are left until Christmas.

It's lovely.

Nice to have you join us.

Ah I'm loving this thread. I've been lurking since the beginning of the last one but don't think I've posted anything yet, but I feel like I can't wait any longer!

I am current,y cracking on with various Christmas crafts (crochet mainly) but it's slow going due to a horrible eczema outbreak on my hands. But my present lists are in full swing and fill half a notebook

I feel I may need a pre-Christmas evening (was perhaps borrowed from a pp) - a Christmas film and planning / making presents. That's a good idea isn't it? Xmas Smile

Mummyshortlegz · 30/09/2016 22:32

I love the bumble-Ness and nice. I'm on about four Christmas threads and love them all. This is lovely as their is no worry you are off topic. If you're excited about it coming then you're in. 😍😍😍😍

Love the phto of Martha and gorgeous hat Xmas Grin though the look is more "It's September, I'm dealing with mad people" than having her face wiped I reckon.

Mine are teenagers and I'm pretty sure they're malfunctioning, only the little handheld monitors they clutch (they refer to them as i5 or i6 or summat) beeping and requiring attention keeps them going.

Now it is October, we've had proper Autumn today , all swirly leaves, a slight chill and the promise of things to come.

Aaaaaaaahhhhhh Xmas Smile

I have been enjoying The first true autumnal mornings with a hint of frost this week, despite a heavy cold. However, the cold means I have indulged in a small glass of Christmas vodka Smile

Ratbagcatbag · 01/10/2016 07:21

Hi all

I'm all organised for a massive baby sale I'm doing today to clear out all my 3yo dd's stuff in preparation for Xmas. I have put more prep into this than my normal job Blush. My dream is to make £100 but the reality is so long I bring nothing back in really happy.

I'm ordering more Christmas presents this weekend too. Well on my way now. :)

ConstantlyCooking · 01/10/2016 09:13

Well done Ratbag- I still have a room full of junk pile of stuff that I have been planning to eBay for around a year Blush

ConstantlyCooking · 01/10/2016 09:17

Pressed post too soon.
Last week I bought myself a Christmas magazine ready for a long train journey today. When I looked for it this morning I discovered that DH had thrown it out with the recycling because he thought it was "junk from a supplement ". Hmm
I haven't told him how much it cost!
Luckily the train has wifiSmile

teablanket · 01/10/2016 09:29

Oh my goodness, Martha is so, so cute! What a sweet face!

Boots have their Christmas catalogue out now, picked one up yesterday.

We're planning a short trip to see my family (300+ miles away) just before Christmas. My sister and son both think we should make it a surprise, but I'm not sure -- it would be quite rude to just appear with no warning, wouldn't it?

Star 83 Star

DD and I went shopping (Bluewater) the shops were starting to ease the Christmas stock in (and the traffic on the way home was a nightmare) she fell asleep before we'd even got out of Bluewater, I had to negotiate the heavy traffic, rain, and the traffic lights that just show pretty changing colours but don't actually allow cars to move Xmas Hmm .

WE sniffed some candles (Yankee) and looked at M&S.
She asked "What colour theme are you planning for the table this year" Xmas Grin DD understands. DS and DH are "Eh?" when I plan my Christmas Table .

I will plan the colours when I see something Must Have that I love (a couple of years ago it was gorgeous crackers from JL )

LaylaDoesAHipToss · 02/10/2016 00:19

Bit late to the party but can I join? I'm a ridiculously avid Christmas nut who gets excited at the mention of tinsel and it takes the pressure off talking "Christmas" with my hubby- it riles him!

Ratbagcatbag · 02/10/2016 08:48

Hi Layla. I know what you mean about DH's and Christmas. Mine has given up with the inevitability of it all but I still think when I talk christmas related stuff all he hears is "blah blah blah blah". Xmas Grin

I've been hunting for the ideal homes Christmas magazine. Is it definitely out? I can't find it anywhere.
