A baby's highchair and lots of chocolate. Nothing else. When I asked her what she would do with anything else Father Christmas gave to her, she said that she would 'throw it away'!

bloomingnora · 20/12/2006 20:49

DD(3) said she was going to ask Father Christmas for a bra so she could help me with the breastfeeding. Has actually asked for some Appletiser with Friends amongst other things....when we discussed where to buy the christmas tree she told us to "Argos it". Suspect we watch a bit too much tv round here at the moment! She also wants a Sportacus kit for her brother. He's 3 months old....

Monkeytrousers · 20/12/2006 20:54

Okay re moon presents we have this video of Eric Carle?s the little hungry caterpiller and other stories and on it is a beautiful story narrated by Juliet Stevenson called Papa, please get the moon for me . DS absolutely loves it. It?s also a book and I?ve just discovered a show at Bristol Old Vic in the new year!

dd (4.5yrs) desperately wants, now wait for it ...................................................................................................................................................... An Inhaler!!!!! This is because 2 of her best friends have them! She is going to be upset with santa

Smithagain · 20/12/2006 22:42

Last year, 3yo DD wanted a "magic star that floats through the air like the one on Teletubbies".

Santa managed to oblige with a pretty glass star tree ornament in a posh box. I think he got away with it.

klazzykidz · 20/12/2006 23:00

Am ROFL at this thread.HHH,Hope you discover what the "Brown present and Moon present" are.3 year olds are great.

robinpud · 20/12/2006 23:24

anyone read this bookhere

we have refrained from taking our 2 to see Santa this year as they have managed the last couple of years to look longingly into Santa's eye and say that the only thing they realy really want is ...and of course it's something completely new that they haven't mentioned earlier in the year so we have had to hare round and find Robin hood toys, Reindeers etc at the last minute!

Squiffy · 21/12/2006 08:45

My DS (3) keeps asking repeatedly for a 'tree girl' - does anyone have any ideas what he could mean? It's definately nothing to do with Tarzan/Jane....

cremolaturkeywishbone · 21/12/2006 09:29

my little nephew(3) said to my sister that he wants for Christmas
salsa (music)
Auntie Cremola(me)
patience fruit ice cream (had it on hoiday -he means passionfruit)

It's good to know that at 3 he already knows how to have a good party

lostinfrance - leopard slippers - will these do??

NappiesGalooooooooooooria · 21/12/2006 09:37

or these

NappiesGalooooooooooooria · 21/12/2006 09:43

ds1's last birthday (3rd) when pressed would only say he wanted 'yellow', which changed at the last minute to purple, but luckily i was quite disorganised so hadnt done the yellow stuff yet.
iced his cake in paurplae, wrapped present in purple paper, had some purple balloons, bows, ribbons about the place... he was chuffed to bits.

for crimbo he has asked for hot wheels. which ive just realised ive completely ignored and just got he and his brothers a collective supply of books, tractors etc... half a ton or crap from hawkins bazzaar for stockings, and those bilibo seat things. the books look good though, spent ages tracking down books with their names in the title/as main characters... they like books. guess i'll soon find out if they like them as much as i think they do!

NappiesGalooooooooooooria · 21/12/2006 09:44

'paurplae' is of course a very sophisticated purple variant...

bronniemuldoon · 21/12/2006 10:49

My DS (4.3) came home from school and announced that he had "ordered":

an alarm clock
a lullaby for his little sister (20 mths)
a power ranger

When I asked who he had "ordered" said gifts from he airily claimed that two girls came into his class and he put in his order.

He's getting the alarm clock!

MamaG · 21/12/2006 10:50

DS (2) wants a farm and a cake

HoHoHorsewoman · 21/12/2006 11:23

I found a little Polar Bear to go in her stocking yesterday, but as she was with me at the time, pressed her a little further "Oh, look at this lovely Polar Bear, isn't he beautiful?" etc etc. Unfortunately, she wants a real one.

Re the 'tree girl', could it be a fairy/angel for the tree ?

flatmouse · 21/12/2006 11:36

DS (6) wants a Santa Hat (sorted!)
DD (3) wants 2 baby annabel dolls and 2 computers...."Why do you want 2?" "Because i have 2 hans Mummy!"

flatmouse · 21/12/2006 11:37

that's hanDs obviously

welshmumwithsparklybits · 21/12/2006 12:03

Ds has expressed a desire for a cardboard tube and some carrots to put in it. He's 19 months.
DD would like a toy mobile phone, a Sparkleworld pony (a my little pony I think/hope), some fairies and a Belle dress.
All of which I have - Hurrah!

Squiffy · 21/12/2006 13:45

boudicca - you may be right - we always have a star on the tree so I hadn't thought of that - I will ask him later.

okeydokeygirl · 21/12/2006 14:38

I think it is worth getting your kids to write lists just so you can look back on them when they are older. My mum still has some of our lists and all 3 of us are in our 40s. Last year my 2 nieces, aged 4 1/2 and 6 1/2 spent the weeks leading up to christmas buying an assortment of 'frog' items for me from jumble sales, charity shops etc. In the full knowledge that i detest frogs. They were so pleased with themselves for being so funny. They also bought their mum a tin of baked beans, a bottle of tomato ketchup (both of which she hates) and a pair of pants to wear on her head! All their own idea. i must ask her if she ever did wear them to school just to get her own back.
