My 2yo dd wants a pink hairdryer so she can dry her own hair.

Nemoinapeartree · 18/12/2006 23:41

bless them all thread has just had me and dh in tears laughing..
Unfortunately[or fortunately] DS 3 has figured this out and is very specific about a Kitchen with a teapot and a rescue helicopter with a diver that goes in the water and a boat[playmobil]

PrincessPeaHead · 18/12/2006 23:47

my ds2 (3) has asked for a sword and some chocolate and a book

HURRAH!

Last year he wanted "red". So I put in all sorts of random things, many of them red, and on the top was a soft brown little beanbag doggy from tesco. he reached into his stocking, pulled it out and said "RED!" like it was an old friend he hadn't seen for ages.
It is still called Red. Ahhhhhhh

Ceolas · 19/12/2006 00:04

Skribble · 19/12/2006 01:41

Skribble · 19/12/2006 01:47

Glow in the dark stars/ planets inc moon, tescos have a selection in the party toy section.

WeWishUAMerryXmasNANappyNewYr · 19/12/2006 01:48

wangle tesco lorry and could you fill it with pretend food like stuff that is for dolls houses or toy kitchens?

WeWishUAMerryXmasNANappyNewYr · 19/12/2006 01:52

twig - could this be the graveyard toy

Skribble · 19/12/2006 01:55

At least this year I don'y have to hunt for a replacement for DS's lost turtle toy.

DS put "my turtle back" on his letter to Santa as Santa would know where he is. I got a fairly similar one and a bigger one. I made up a tiny little photo album of all the places turtle had been with his new freind. DS's face was a picture . he was 9 last year so not sure what he still believes.

He is still acting like a true believer this year, do I have the only 10yr old that still believes?

WeWishUAMerryXmasNANappyNewYr · 19/12/2006 01:55

3Ddonut - push and go thomas

WeWishUAMerryXmasNANappyNewYr · 19/12/2006 01:56

oh and to the OP - brown present - chocolate?

jaamybells · 19/12/2006 02:05

Skribble - what a lovely idea, the photo album. Make the most of your 10 yo still believing or at least playing along. Iremember it being quite traumatic when I found out about Santa.

WeWishUAMerryXmasNANappyNewYr - ever thought of becoming a personal shopper?

DD1 (3 in Jan) hasn't told us anything that she would like from Santa, though we've desperately tried to get her to tell us. So we have dutifully followed her around ELC, Toys R Us and various other children's stores buying anything she has shown interest in. As a result she has loads of presents, none of which she has requested. No doubt she will announce something on Christmas Eve, just after the shops have closed and be bitterly disappointed when Santa doesn't bring it!

HoHoHorsewoman - would love to see your attempt at wrapping the pineapple or will you just get a tin? For the brown present why not just get a small stocking and fill it with snall brown things - chocolate, teddy, wooden toys, etc...

WeWishUAMerryXmasNANappyNewYr · 19/12/2006 02:09

ooooh jaamy that would be my dream job!!i love to shop, but i always like to find stuff for people to help them more than anything... oh and i'm a sad old loser who has nothing better to do!

WeWishUAMerryXmasNANappyNewYr · 19/12/2006 02:11

i like jaamys idea about the brown stocking. one of them is bound to be right!

jaamy - if she does announce it xmas eve why not go out and buy it boxing day or the day after and wrap it up and give it her. you coulds say santa couldnt make it in time for xmas cos she asked so late so after he had delivered all his presents he went home straight away to make it ..

WeWishUAMerryXmasNANappyNewYr · 19/12/2006 02:16

another idea for grave yard toy

also does he have a gameboy?my cousin has a yu gi oh game with a graveyard level in it. here

or how about the nightmare before xmas dvd?

jaamybells · 19/12/2006 02:21

WeWishUAMerryXmasNANappyNewYr - what a splendid idea! Could also say Santa left it outside, next door, on the roof with the reindeers by mistake, and we've just found it! [Sigh of relief]
Will be back again next year for you to solve my Christmas shopping dilemmas!

BudaBauble · 19/12/2006 05:44

PMSL at this thread!

MerryChipmunk - the Dublin Santa obv needed more training! My DS told Santa in Selfridges that he wanted a double light sabre - Santa told him that he wasn't sure the elves could make the double ones but that they could def make the normal ones! Impressed me anyway!

NotQuiteCockney · 19/12/2006 06:29

DS1 (5) has now decided he needs to make a list, and he wants a remote-controlled plane. He's getting lego. I expect he'll say it's what he wanted anyway.

I haven't asked DS2 (just 2) what he wants. Probably a pig, and we've got him lots of those.

NotQuiteCockney · 19/12/2006 09:02

Ha, I asked DS2, and he said he wanted a pig. A real pig or a toy pig? A toy pig. Now he's busy making a pig out of Megablocks. I think. Or a plane. One of those.

expatinscotland · 19/12/2006 09:13

Oh, gawd! She wants one of those tacky squidgy pillows sold off those carts in the shopping centre.

Even worse, I got her one .

tjacksonpfc · 19/12/2006 09:23

MrsMillsletoe · 19/12/2006 09:45

Ds2 (2.8) has asked for cars and cheese

Cadeauxmum · 19/12/2006 10:17

My DS2 (4) wants a surprise. Otherwise it will ruin his Christmas.

I sure hope we can live up to his expectations!
