I only took DS Christmas Bedding off a couple of weeks ago Xmas Blush
In My Defence:
it is cosy fleecey
red
snowflake pattern but I could flip it over to be plain red (that's okay , yes Grin )

I bought him some lovely flannel cotton (blue stripe) to swap with.

My Pinterest suggestion today was pages of beautifully decorated Christmas cakes.

Happy Rudolph Day.
We are a quarter of the way there (and I find the first quarter the dullest).

.

Xmas Grin Happy Rudolph Day indeed Xmas Wink

I'm scoffing a Hot Cross Bun and lemon curd (though later on I will have very Hot Cross Intestines)

Easter is once a year , enjoy .

lollyj84 · 25/03/2016 11:19

Happy Rudolph day!!!
Easter tree is decorated. DH came home from tesco with hotcross buns and costa coffee.
Dcs playing in the garden together- getting along well. Wonder how long that will last

Paperblank · 25/03/2016 16:38

Constantly I can't believe we're a quarter of the way there!

Happy Rudolph Day. I haven't done anything for easter - we've all been poorly here but I do have hot cross buns and easter eggs.

Oh and the BIGGEST bit of beef for Sunday dinner you ever did see....anyone free for lunch??Grin

lollyj84 · 25/03/2016 19:11

We seem to be all on the mend now -thankfully! My mum has had the nastiest bout of all of us and DD got away with a mild cold.

There is nothing like a snotty, snuffling newborn to make you feel so helpless Easter Sad

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 26/03/2016 14:27

Aww poor baby Xmas Sad

They sound like teeny tiny little puppies when they snuffle.
There are various rubbery siphon thingies to remove mucous from tiny nostrils but it helps them breathe better (even better if they can do a hefty sneeze but most newborns don't)

DS had a snuffle when he was new, DH and I were like headless chickens. Best thing for him (DS) was to go into the bathroom, I held him, while DH had a hot shower with Molton brown Eucalyptus shower gel.
DS inhaled the warm vapour and was too little to scream "My eyes! My EYES " seeing his Dad in the shower.

Lots of snuggles for Martha. [tbhsmile]

Happy Easter

We have pretty much the same meal for Easter as we do for Christmas (except for sage&onion, sprouts and Christmas Pud)

I have/ The Easter Bunny has delivered the DC Easter Eggs so they'll get wired in as soon as they wake up (teens not littlies, so hopefully some self control)

Enjoy the day, but a hour less.

ConstantlyCooking · 27/03/2016 08:55

Happy Easter!
We have a lovely lunch with extended family taking the best bits of Christmas and adapting it. Now need to get to work cooking it!

lollyj84 · 27/03/2016 16:02

Happy Easter. We have spent the day with an old school friend and her family and this evening we are going for a few drinks with DH friend and his Dw. 🍸🍸

I am eyeing up our easter egg haul - it's impressive!

My little Martha has started to smile so I thought you'd like to see my clever girl!

Martha is a beauty. Nothing like the first smiles and it makes it all worthwhile. Enjoy every moment of her Paper.

teablanket · 28/03/2016 11:09

Martha is absolutely beautiful, congrats. And a lovely name, too!

Had Easter dinner at MILs yesterday, where she said she is DONE with hosting special occasion family gatherings. (Maybe a bit awful of me, but I'm quite looking forward to staying home this Christmas! I've always wanted to, but I've always been too chicken to turn down MILs invitation. Blush)

April tomorrow!! Epic fail on the Christmas preparation front; in the whirlwind of having a baby I forgot to put the sprouts on Shock if I put them on now do you think they'll be okay? I could put them in a pressure cooker...Grin

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 31/03/2016 18:11

Honestly Paper you will get judgey looks from all your nearest'n'dearest because your sprouts will be raw Xmas Shock
You might be able to salvage Christmas Dinner if you put the pressure cooker on max, keep them stewing till Christmas Eve (midnight after you do the Stockings) then put them in microwave with a slice of butter and keep stirring them on High.

You might get away with it Xmas Smile.

Christmas is moving to the background as preparing to face a big birthday soon plus dreaded A/S exams are looming Confused
