Xmas Shock ultimate typo there.... not wishful thinking as I would have SO much to do!

Why in the name of santas beard would I type that... wishing my life away Hmm oopsy

let me try again

I can't believe we are almost in double figures

hmm much better!

BiddyPop · 01/09/2016 15:07

Hungry, thanks, I hadn't thought of them (I presume they will deliver to Ireland) - I was still only as far as Amazon. I just need decent paper plates (supermarket ones here are rubbish!), plastic wine glasses and some serving things. The rest I could get here if I wanted, although if I see everything matching and perfect together, I can go the whole hog!

Hairspray my panic levels have receeded slightly. Xmas Grin

Although, I have noticed that we are on the last page and will need a new thread before very long....

mimsnet · 01/09/2016 16:34

Biddy You're right! It's hilarious that we've written so much about Christmas that we're at the end of the thread.

Who wants bets we'll finish the second (yet to be started) thread before the big day and need a third one?! Xmas Grin

Also, I wonder when the JL Christmas site will go live?

RedLarvaYellowLarva · 01/09/2016 19:12

Three months til Advent - that's what I really count down to!
Still feeling impatient for Next's Xmas range to be out.

HungryHorace · 01/09/2016 19:33

You're as impatient for Next as I am for the M&S food range! Grin

RedLarvaYellowLarva · 01/09/2016 23:08

I totally am! I love Next, but only for the kids - never has much in I like for myself. But their kids' stuff is FAB! Though now DS is in 6+ clothing I'm finding it less fab for him. But their young kid stuff is gorgeous.

mimsnet · 02/09/2016 00:45

113 Xmas Grin

Hungry If you go back about fifteen pages in this thread, I've linked a few articles about the M&S food range for this year. They have this taster session every year in July - I'd love to be invited!! Xmas Smile

HungryHorace · 02/09/2016 07:02

My two are 2 and 3, Red. They're mostly kitted out in Next stuff. I get a sale VIP slot and use it!

Mimsnet, was the the Huffington Post article? Oh. My. God. I need that Cornish cheese ring in my life this year! I'm not so sure about chocolate covered tortillas though!

HairsprayBabe · 02/09/2016 08:20

I keep googling of the JL christmas advert to see if any rumors are circulating yet, I wasn't a massive fan of last years or the penguin, I am still teary over the one with the little boy gifting to his mum though! DP liked the snowman one and the Bear and the Hare.

Mummyshortlegz · 02/09/2016 08:34

This week I have bought a turkey Baster. Every week now until Christmas I am working on my ultimate roast potatoes. I have decided my issue is lack of basting.

My other Christmas prep for today will be buying grotto tickets.

Preschool goes back next week and I will be getting out my sewing machine and Christmas fabrics and attempting some quilted table runners. My mil is an ace quilter so I am a bit daunted.

I love the countdown to Christmas and I don't even feel sad when it's over. I count down to the sales where I can start all over again.

Hope I am allowed to join you Grin

MrsDilligaf · 02/09/2016 12:21

Mummy

Of course you are allowed to join us.

We definitely need a second thread... absolutely. I need to know how many days there are Xmas Grin

Mummyshortlegz · 02/09/2016 13:08

I got my grotto tickets! I am considering booking on a wreath making cost but I'll wait to see if i get birthday money as its £45

HungryHorace · 02/09/2016 14:07

I booked the Santa train a few weeks' ago! Grin

That course sounds great. I get most of the cost is the stuff to make the wreath though.

Mummyshortlegz · 02/09/2016 14:19

Yeah, I am sure it is well worth it but I am a SAHM so I need to justify it some how outside of family money.

Santa train sounds awesome, we might do the Santa express at out local one.

I was explaining to Dh that to do all the lovely things I have to book early so we can get the slots we want. He did, thankfully, understand.

justgivemeamo · 02/09/2016 14:37

I am super excited now, the Christmas train is well and truly rolling here Grin two events are booked.

The Christmas present box is starting to over flow with little bits I am picking up here and there Smile I am looking into the panto now, and sadly the pressure is mounting from the in laws.

RedLarvaYellowLarva · 02/09/2016 15:16

HH, I bought STACKS in the Next Xmas sale the year DD was born, for her for the next few years! I then get topped up with handmedowns from SIL, so I don't really need much for DD now, just the odd choice item that is too lovely to resist. I do like a well-dressed kid. Possibly cos I was dressed like a dork when I was a kid! :)

Hello, legz. I think £45 is ok if you get to keep the wreath. Though it's pretty easy to just wing it.

HungryHorace · 02/09/2016 17:09

😂 I was dressed like a dork too, Red! Maybe it does explain our Next obsession.

I even got bedding and a Santa doormat last year! And I have a wreath and other decorative bits. I'm a sucker for it!

MrsDilligaf · 02/09/2016 20:18
