Mothers Day gives another occasion to have High Tea.

(Mothers Day, Good Friday, Christmas Eve late, birthdays all call for High Tea)

Out will come the glass three tier cake stand and the glass plate for sandwiches.

I saw lots of people in M&S having tea (they have their nice cakestands there) so I'm inspired.
And I have mini jams left over (from Christmas) to use Xmas Grin

*nick8 have you stepped into a parallel universe too Xmas Wink.
Where still has Christmas Trees (madly jealous)

I was shopping on Wednesday, it was freezing and I thought this was what it should have been like at Christmas, not 13c or whatever it was.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 04/03/2016 10:06

Has PaperMartha pootled off round to Waitrose to buy cakes 'n' cards for Mothers Day?

Start as you mean to go on.
Though my DS was 18 days old for his first Christmas and I don't think he bought me a present. Paying the price now for not setting the ground rules early.
DH gave DS a box of After Eights to give to me and the little git opened them Xmas Shock

I plot my revenge ..........................................................................

Marking place.
I just read the first couple of pages, it made me all nostalgic for Christmas and the fact it's March already is bloody startling.

Place marking and thinking how quickly it will soon come around

It's scary how quickly it comes round every year. Everywhere is in full on Easter mode and that is 9 months to go Xmas Shock, our next Rudolph Day is Good Friday.

And stilll there will be the unprepared wailing "I have so much to doooooooo" on the 23rd Dec.

Happy Mothering Sunday Flowers

Ratbagcatbag · 06/03/2016 07:57

Flowers to you as well 70 ☺️

what's a Rudolph day?

ConstantlyCooking · 06/03/2016 08:51

(Whispers to Ratbag) it is the 25th of each month when you do a little bit of Christmas prep- it breaks the countdown into manageable chunks)'

Ratbagcatbag · 06/03/2016 17:42

Thanks constantly. I love the idea of those. :)

ConstantlyCooking · 06/03/2016 22:34

I only discovered Rudolph days last year. They are especially nice at this time of year when Christmas itself is so far away.

Christmas into eBay and Pinterest.......................you'll lose days of your life Xmas Wink gazing and coveting.
I love Hallowe'en on Pinterest too, all the ideas (mainly from USA but some can translate this side of the pond)

You need to get in quick to buy your snowman pancake pan and Father Christmas loo seat cover with matching pedestal mat Xmas Grin

nickdrakeslovechild · 08/03/2016 15:36

I love my Christmas pancake pan!

Martha did very well buying my Mother's Day gifts (as did Daddy Grin)

She's going to be a bit little this year to join in the Easter festivities that my mum has planned but she'll catch up with her cousins soon enough!

Picture for you to awwww over - taken on Mother's Day.

What a lovely picture Paper! And it sounds like the start of an annual Mother's Day family photo tradition Grin

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 09/03/2016 09:40

She's gorgeous *Paper) and you both look very relaxed and happy ( I don't think I have any post DC photos of me where I don't look sozzled Xmas Grin )

This Easter you need to dress her up or do one of those photoshop gadgets on the iPhone, turn her into an Easter Bunny.
You won't get away with it in years to come............

She can supervise the Egg Hunt, make sure there's no Fowl Play Xmas Grin

Paperblank · 10/03/2016 05:41

I was thinking of getting Martha something like this costume...what do you think? Just got to find somewhere that does them small enough.
