Tell me your Christmas Eve plans

We pretty much do the same thing every year.

Cinema in the morning
Christingle Service in the afternoon, then home where the elves have left new PJ's and a DVD.
Party tea whilst watching DVD
Sprinkle reindeer dust, read 'The Night Before Christmas' and then sort out a mince pie for F.C and children to bed.

We've checked the cinema near us, and none of us really fancy anything thats on. DC are 7 & 5.

Inspire me with what you do to make the day fun for the little people.

We also like going to the cinema, but there's nothing on that we fancy. When that's the case we do:
out for brunch in a local coffee shop
a walk
DVD in the afternoon
carols on the village green
back for tea and maybe a board game, then maybe another film

I'm going to work in the morning, collecting my turkey and anything else not delivered tonight on my way home and then going to church at 3pm.

We'll go to the pub after church and then have a take away for dinner before collapsing into the baileys.

Not much really.

I cook the turkey and prepare the veg with dh's help.

We have JO epic hot chocolate and watch some films.

In the evening the inlaws and my sister are coming over so we will eat lasagne and play some games.

We're going to the cinema, so that's not helpful! We always go to costa to have a hot chocolate late afternoon then come home to find pjs, book and dvd from elves. We will go outside in the hope of seeing fc fly over again then eat pizza for dinner. Can't wait

I'm getting my haircut at 8:30
Then home to give and watch DH open his birthday presents.
Then going bowling with dd and DH
Then out for birthday lunch/tea with dd, dd and mil
Home for a chilled evening and a couple of drinks

DD and I are going for a meal at a very nice pub with some family at 12...I think. Really need to double check the time!

Unfortunately none of our local churches are holding any services in the afternoon this year - they're all starting at 7/8pm onwards. So it'll be a wander up the high street to grab any last bits we need and then home to make homemade soup and soda bread rolls. Family come to us Christmas Eve so we'll get the fire lit, eat, drink and watch a Christmas movie. We'll read The Night Before Christmas, DD will unwrap her new pj's, we'll set out food for Santa and Rudolph and then get DD to bed.

Family go home and then I'll get to work playing at stealthy elf!

We will be making mince pies as we always do.
I have to nip into town for the last minute bits and pieces (such as a gift for dh!) and drop off any gifts and cakes that need delivering.
Then we will probably go for a wee walk if the rain ever stops and then to the Carol concert at our church at 6.30
Home for stories, hang up stockings on beds, mince pies out for Santa
Reindeer dust etc. Then off to bed so I can play Santa.
Can't wait!

We ate off to feed the reindeer at the local garden centre in the morning then an carol service at 3pm followed by a meal out with my parents. Never been out in xmas Eve before so quite looking forward to the change!

Eaten out, obviously we've been out on Christmas even before.

Pick up beer from friend's house and stay for a cuppa.
Freezer buffet for dinner.

House cleaning, visiting family to deliver/pick up presents, some cooking, watching telly, baths, reindeer food out (if I can find the glitter), carrot for rudolf, mince pie and a wee brandy for santa, kids to bed, couple of glasses of something sparkly, presents out, bed.

We always go to the panto on Christmas Eve then home for lush buffet tea and early nights all round!

We are going for coffee and cake in the morning. In the evening watching movies.

family day with the ILs - send , family church service with the kids, then booze and pressies with DH.

Most years we have my parents staying and we go for a posh lunch with prosecco and then a wander around the city looking at the shop windows / lights etc.

This year it is just the 3 of us so we are heading into town to collect our turkey and sherry trifle from M&S. DH will probably nip in for that and dd and I will go to a nice cafe and order hot chocolate and coffee while we wait for him to join us. I plan to be home by lunchtime. Fire lighting, all the fairy lights and candles lit. Cozied up in pjs. Cook the ham and watch master chef final. I really can't wait!

Bringing kids into work with me in the morning (they put on a panto and give out presents to the kids), then hop in car off to In Laws followed by candlelit carols on Bournville Village Green, then dinner with the family.

Home to make Kringle for Christmas Day breakfast, clean spare room and playroom for guests
Out to crib service
Meeting eleventy million friends in village pub after
Home for NORAD, light the tea light jam jar runway on drive, read TNBC, mince pies and carrots out
Once DC in bed, crack open some more wine and the very good chocs from my work hamper
Stuff stockings once DC def asleep (usually after 10.30pm)
Lay sweetie trail to FC gifts

Out for lunch. Then a matinee show. Then Christmas market. Back home for a film and take-out.

Work! Cleaning, dinner...

Tomorrow we are visiting the in laws. I might go into local town for last couple of bits (don't really need but just to soak a bit of atmosphere)

Haven't put up the tree yet so will do that too. Always do it early December but its been very hectic.

Working till 4:30 then home to wrap presents and cook tea. Dh will hopefully get home earlier than his usual half 11 finish!
The children are all teenagers and older but I still take them stockings at midnight. This year ive bought a Santa beard to wear
I'm working Christmas Day so I'm feeling a bit bah humbug tbh

Cook Turkey and prep veggies
Visit dad in care home
Carols from Kings with decent champagne and candles lit
Mum and sis round for drinks and buffet stuff
Do stockings
Bed.

Making pain au chocolat for breakfast (rolling and baking a packet of stuff)

Getting the bus with DD to work

Maybe drinking another Irish coffee or snaffling another mince pie at work while DD gets fed chocolate

Go see the "Live Crib" when we leave the office

Meet DH and Perhaps get to do a little shopping, if time allows, but at least pick up lunch or go get sit-down lunch before hitting the road

Drive "down home"

Deal with the dramas, unpack the car, hopefully get to visit my DPs as well as MIL and BIL family

Prepare veggies for Christmas Dinner

Arrange to light the Christmas Candle

Open Christmas Eve hamper, put out mince pie and milk for Santa and stocking and send DD off to enjoy her "Rushing Santa" bath

Read "Twas the night before Christmas" to DD

Hopefully get a nice glass of something and relax for a while - probably get stuck into cleaning, maybe get a cup of tea, and try to avoid causing WW3 breaking out

Put the presents under the tree (help Santa lay out things)

Sleep
