What are you wearing Christmas Day?

Trying to find a nice dress nothing uncomfortable as want to obviously play with Los and cooking but do want to feel dressed up! What are you all planning to wear? X

this dress with black opaques. It's comfy but reasonably dressing, but most importantly room for Christmas lunch expansion

Yes, boots in winter, ballet flat type shoes, or lace up pumps in summer. They're really comfortable. I wear longish tops with them.

I shall probably be wearing a burgundy shift dress in faux suede, with a long black cardi, tights and boots. Looks smart, but ample room for expansion.

Failing that, black skinny jeans, strappy shoes and a grey rose-print Boden top with sequins around the neck.

We always make an effort on Christmas Day - 14 of us for lunch.

Same What do people mean when they say that? Do you mean you wouldn't suit it? I've seen it said a lot lately but never sure so seizing the opportunity to ask.

waggles for me- I try and dress my shape which is athletic/petite but I have no butt/waist. I have the shape of a 12 year old boy. So for me anything very floral, overly fussy, midi length, full length or with a shallow v neck is just a no no. Also ankle straps tend to lop inches off me.

A good friend of my loves monsoon and she has many a lovely feminine dress from there. I look like somebody's aunty Mavis in them (no offence to any Mavis's out there )

I've got this Joe Browns teal tunic dress for Christmas day, which I'll wear with tights and some black Kurt Geiger flats. 8 year old DD has this red sparkly spot dress from Lands End to wear which she'll team with cream tights, black Mary Jane's and a red bow hairband.

Beautiful teal dress, which I will wear for approximately one hour.
Then I will wear jeans and a jumper

Esio - I'm 5'5'and nearer 14st than 13 (size 16) and I live in skinny jeans / jeggings, wear boots over them or flat sandals / Mary Janes in summer. I always wear tops that cover my bum. Never heels as they give me too many aches and pains (even wedges). They suit me far better than bootcut.

Waggle I feel like I wouldn't suit them/ have the confidence to wear them that's what I mean when I say it.

Arrghhh i haven't decided yet! I'm thinking thick black opaque tights with some sort of comfy jersey or shirt style dress - maybe dressed up with a statement necklace or earrings? I've been organised with EVERYTHING else including DD 3 Christmas Day outfit ...somehow forgot about me!

Can't bl**dy find my Christmas tree earrings (I did ask DD if she'd seen/borrowed them but they aren't silver so she wouldn't be able to )

I have some nice clear stone with a green pearsrop. Bit OTT for real-life but I'll carry them off tomorrow
