Love these threads but they always make me look stingy! We follow a rule of one big present under the tree from us, a smaller one from the animals and the the stocking has about ten things in from Santa.
DD 2 has a play kitchen (2nd hand off eBay, bargain!) and a peppa pig necklace under the tree. In her stocking she has books, dinosaurs, chocolate, soft toys.

We've only got one child and he has a birthday in the 20th December too. Generally he gets a large thing for his birthday and smaller stuff for Xmas. However this year he is 13 so we've pushed the boat out a bit...thankfully exH has been very generous with support.

So for Xmas he is getting a WiiU and two games...one came with the console.
A microscope and science kit.
An Xbox one game...(.he's getting an Xbox One for his birthday bought with contributions from us and wider family).
A tee-shirt which says "eat, game, sleep, repeat".
A 3D jigsaw of the Empire State Buikding as he's obsessed with New York,
Will add a selection box .

Big excitement is for us as DS knowing he is getting an Xbox One for his birthday knows that there is NO WAY he is getting a Wii U for Xmas. Can't wait to see his face.

Wow some of those lists are huge.
Ds 6 is getting
Scooter
Rucksack
Lego keyring torch
Playmobile bits from santa
Books
Pj's to wear on christmas eve.

I don't do stockings.
Don't give clothes for Christmas.

NowBringUsSomeFuzzpiggyPudding · 16/12/2015 11:02

Toooo much! But I don't care [santa]

I'm including the things in the stockings here, because we put things in the stockings according to size rather than price IYSWIM. Also not all of this is paid for by us, as my parents and grandmother give money so we can choose something for them (and the rest goes on their sports clubs)

Clothes (much needed - will be mostly cheap leggings etc)
Lego - not as much as usual this year but it includes the Klutz books
Books/activity books - ridiculous amount Blush including the Book Without Pictures, Greek Mythology book, ancient Egypt colouring/sticker books, a colour chapter book each for bedtime, puzzle books, science books and other stuff
Musical instruments - cabasa, spiral drum etc
Pop up shop
Bounce off game
Playmobil playground
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory puzzle
Colouring pens as theirs are running out
Castle Panic game (a family present really - DH and I take turns choosing a big board game every year - but hoping they'll enjoy it too)
Hama bead boards (well the Hobbycraft cheaper version)... Daddy melted their old ones!

Then individually:

DS 6
Super Tooth card game
Transformers top trumps
Box of fossils
Ash and Pikachu figure
Small Beanie boo penguin
Optimus prime (from DD)
3D puzzle of St Basils cathedral
DVDs (Tales of the night, Little Einsteins (free thanks to DMR points!), Home, Iron Giant, Turbo)
Big Hero 6 onesie
Thunderbirds tee
Ash hat
Captain America outfit
Batman story cubes

DD 8
Sleeping Queens card game
Monster high top trumps
Box of gemstones
Small lalaloopsy
Small Beanie boo bat
Monster high frightmare (from DS)
3D puzzle of Trojan horse
DVDs (Ernest and Celestine, James and the Giant Peach, Paddington, Mr Peabody and Sherman, Epic)
Minion onesie
Jack Skellington tee
Gym leotard for her doll
Anna dress
Tantrix game

That looks really ridiculous written down. Ah well. It will all be well received and much used. Can't wait! [santa]

I've managed to get a lot for the money, as there's no gadgets or computer games etc this year. For once I don't have to worry about getting enough batteries either :o

NowBringUsSomeFuzzpiggyPudding · 16/12/2015 11:12

Oooh and I forgot, I got one of those chin up bar things you can put in the doorway, but I'm going to put it lower down so they can do forward rolls over it etc, DD is always doing that whenever she can so she will love it. And it might help her use up some energy on the days I'm not well enough to take her out anywhere :)

LibraryMonster · 16/12/2015 11:24

DS (6) has:

Knex rollercoaster
Remote control car

Wenchelda · 16/12/2015 11:44

My children (5 & 3) have 15 presents each to open (we don't do stockings) but these include things like clothes / backpacks / water bottles / slippers / night light ....so things that they would need anyway. Of the 15 gifts, only 4 each are toys :

5yo - bike / Star Wars spaceship / avengers figures / mini storm trooper

3yo - pipsie horse / Marbo penguin / pet carrier vet set / paw patrol soft toy.

They get new pjs on Xmas eve and also have several books, 2 board games, minions dvd box set and a mega modz construction set between them.

I haven't paid full price for anything and actually worked out I have saved over £200 compared to RRP.

Maybe this seems a lot looking at some lists on here but is nothing in comparison to some of the "Santa's been!" photos I saw on Facebook last year where people had their entire living room floor covered with presents!
