I feel a bit mean now! Sad DS (Age 2) is getting:

Toy microwave
Toy kettle (loves making pretend cups of tea)
Remote control car.
Cost about £45 in total..
And some stocking bits.

He has so many toys already and we are completely skint this Christmas and hes getting lots of stuff from grandparents so he will have lots of things to open.

NowBringUsSomeFuzzpiggyPudding · 16/12/2015 13:26

I love these lists, especially the ones with similar ages to my own kids, but I love the glimpse into the future seeing what the teens are getting, too Grin

I don't see the point in comparing, though, everyone's got different situations and motivations for doing things the way they do and you can't possibly tell what these are from a list.

Ds 4

First large Lego set
Imaginext Batmobile and figures
Spiderman book and figure
Transformer
Dinosaur Jigsaw
Playmobil Car with roof box
Headphones and story cd (has pined for the headphones for months, one of the only things he's asked for consistently)

Also he'll get some books, cuddly toy and stocking.

Dd 2 (More than I got ds at 2, so to have roughly similar amounts to open)

Duplo airport
Breakfast set for kitchen
Frozen cd
Anna toddler doll
Vehicle puzzles

Also other books, Bing & Flop cuddly toys and stocking.

MarlenaGru · 16/12/2015 16:21

I love the competitive frugalness. Only in Britain. Mine are of course only getting a lump of coal and if they are very lucky they will be allowed a mince pie. To share. [santa]

MarlenaGru · 16/12/2015 16:27

Really the youngest is too small to care but is getting things so the eldest doesn't get upset.
Happyland farm bits and storage box
A doll
Aquadoodle
Clothes
A stocking with random bits and bobs like a flannel, MLP, rubber, MLP hoody etc

Eldest is getting
New school backpack
Lego campervan
A stuffed toy that was her only request from Santa (annoyingly)
Some sylvanian bits
And similar stocking bits including MLP hoody, HP necklace and stationery for school.

All are bargains, we can afford all of it but you know what? That is only relevant to me. I wouldn't buy 2,000 gifts each but if others do it is their choice.

franksidebottom · 16/12/2015 16:49

Sweets and chocolate for DS8 & DD4

Then they get new clothes for Christmas Day and Boxing Day and Christmas Eve pyjamas and slippers!!

They both got new Dr Martens last week too as part of Christmas gifts but want them to get the use out of them.
They will also get presents from DD, DMIL & FIL. My DB1 and my DB2 visited last week and gave them their presents do they can see them enjoying them.

If I'm being honest .... There is loads more but I can't remember .... I buy throughout the year and anticipate what they would like .... Disabled DS. is very easy to buy for and his tastes haven't changed for 4 years.

They don't get pocket money yet nor do they any gifts throughout the year. Do these are their toys until April and August.
We also don't go many days out or holidays as having a severely disabled child is very limiting!!!

Have I justified my spend????
