Although another option is to do an activity advent calendar, each day they get an activity to do like an outing, paper chain making, christmas tree decoration making or xmas sticker book etc. I'm planning on doing that christmas 2016!

Re Chrysanthemum5 talking about using Lego in advent calendar. I found a site with links for instructions to build a number of Christmas items from your childs existing collection. I know my son has so much he wouldn't notice is some was borrowed.

I'm going to fill our handmade calendars with the bits from Playmobil / Lego or maybe Wow Toys calendars this year, so please shout if you notice them on offer. Smile

Studio 24 have Sugar and Spice beauty advent calendars for £12.49 (£7.50 less than rrp).

The cosmetics may not be great but I know my teen and tween will love them!

Just seen a couple of new advent calendars on amazon I haven't seen before. Not particularly reduced but worth keeping an eye on them if you're interested.

Play doh advent calendar £16.99 +80p delivery. Each day you get a new pot of playdoh/cutter

And a vtech toot toot advent calendar with fold out road. Each day gives a sign with 1 decent vehicle included. V. Expensive at the moment though £27.88 but might come down in price.

Hi :) thanks as always for this thread. Can anyone tell me what the Argos deals seem to be (ie 3for2 etc) approaching Xmas? My twins are 4 in December plus 6yr old DD and they are all getting into Lego and playmobil. Deals keep popping up on Amazon but if there's 342 it might be worth hanging on! The playmobil pirate ship is down to £34.99 at Amazon atm which is a really good price.

RJnomaaaaaargh · 05/09/2015 16:23
