Just wanted to say thanks for the playmobil dinosaur tip, just ordered :-)

imip · 02/09/2015 07:51

kraggle I'd get the vetch kiddizoom camera. Annoyingly only available in pink or blue... I've 4dc between 8-3 and they've all had them and got good value out of them,. At around 6+ they have considered them babyish (but would still play the odd game on them). Then we've gotten them a Nikon coolpix, which have been absolutely amazing!

imip · 02/09/2015 07:53

Ugh, and as a mostly lurker on these threads for the past 3 years (it is 3, right?), the kiddizoom is regularly discounted - probably best to watch this space if it is for Christmas.....

GerrardWinstanley · 02/09/2015 08:17

Second Imip on the Kidizoom and waiting for an offer on one. You'll need to buy a memory card for it as the built in memory is pants. My two have also had loads of play out of theirs from 3-7. They're pretty indestructible too. Off to look up the coolpix now as the next step replacement for my eldest.

dontfallonme · 02/09/2015 08:30

De lurking to pass on Minecraft plushes on Amazon for around £2 each, the bigger ones are also reduced! www.amazon.co.uk/Genuine-Minecraft-Ocelot-plush-animal/dp/B00VRQLX5W/ref=sr_1_5?s=kids&ie=UTF8&qid=1441178976&sr=1-5&keywords=minecraft+toys

I've hopefully linked to the ocelot but the others are there

storybrooke · 02/09/2015 08:40

Boots seem to discount the kiddizoom the most, we got it last year for £35 including the case which is normally around £10 I think They actually have pretty decent reductions on a lot when they have sales!

ExploraDora · 02/09/2015 09:38

I got the Kiddizoom camera for £20 in Tesco last October, when it was still selling in Hamleys for £63! It is great fun though and has survived being dropped onto concrete several times by my 2 year old.

yaffle · 02/09/2015 11:27

Can't find who was asking about the Argos 3 for 2 offer , I'm sure last year they did 2 between now and Xmas , but it's worth looking at Amazon when Argos are doing the 3 for 2 as they tend to drop 33% off a lot of popular toys to compete , also Tesco's have done 3 for 2 coupled with their Clubcard Boost / doubleup/whateverthef...theycallitnow in the last couple of years , oh and Sainsburys do an up to half-price toy sale instore , usually around half-term (it used to be everything half-price sigh )

TobleroneBoo · 02/09/2015 11:48

Tassimo Vivy is £39 in Tesco ( and in clubcard boost) but Currys have the Suny which I think is the better model up for £39 also.

PamelaEwing · 02/09/2015 12:25

We got the kiddizoom camera on sale on Ocado for about £20 a couple of years ago and it's still played with loads, great for photos and video but also the mini games :)

MooseyMoo · 02/09/2015 14:08

I spotted a couple of bargains in Sainsburys:

AmiGami Peacock half price £8
AmiGami Bird ring half price £2.50

My DD is very creative and loves these. I'm also keeping an eye out for Djeco craft sets and Aquarellum bargains.

PoopPoooDeDooo · 02/09/2015 14:21

Has anyone seen cheap bath toys, magic flannels and small bucket and spades (or just the buckets would do) I need 20 so would rather not go to £land. The buckets are to be used instead of party bags so don't have to be great quality (the other items are to go inside!)

Thanks Flowers

Kraggle · 02/09/2015 14:34

Thank you for the kiddizoom recommendations, I will have a lookout for a bargainous one!

My Uggly dog has just arrived and it's utterly gross and will be totally loved! Grin

Chocolateteabag · 02/09/2015 17:53

Flowers mummyrunnerbean - thanks for the magpie sale tip - working my way through what to order to justify £5 postage but there are lots of different gift ideas in the sale perfect for tricky older teens and students types (at least IMO but I could be way off)

Has anyone seen any deals on Toot toot drivers stuff? Ds2 has been given an ambulance car by my dad and not sure whether we should get him a track and more cars (ie something new that ds1 hasn't "preloved")

Kraggle · 02/09/2015 18:25

wokeupwithasmile · 02/09/2015 19:19

Hi all,

Thanks for all the info so far, I am enjoying this thread!

I see that there are different versions of the Kiddizoom camera. Would you tell me which one you like and why? I have decided to buy one for my toddler.

Thank you!

ExploraDora · 02/09/2015 20:00

Wokeup, we have this one
www.amazon.co.uk/Vtech-Kidizoom-Twist-Plus-Camera/dp/B00DGROGC2
It is incredibly sturdy and the DC love spinning the lens around to take pictures of themselves easily. Plus there are Lots of fun features, like an option that puts crazy hair or sunglasses onto the image.
It's an older model ,but it's still in a lot of shops and the new version has very similar features.

itsonlysubterfuge · 02/09/2015 20:54

The Bookpeople are having their Warehouse Sale at the Haydock Warehouse this weekend, Saturday and Sunday.

I went previously this year and there were some good bargains, if anyone is close by there.

GerrardWinstanley · 02/09/2015 21:22

wokeup we have the same as explora but I imagine the newer version is just as good.
