Fifty Days.

Starting to panic a bit because I haven't bought anything much really. Couple of Stocking gifts for DD (make-up)

I am planning to go out on Friday and buy Christmas stuff from Costco (they won't be stocking it much longer)

Still doing lists.

Planning to do 90% online , but allow enough time for deliveries.

50!!! Coming round fast.
Also feeling a bit panicked. Off to Disney soon so that's been my focus. Going to try and be a bit more minimal - can so easily get out of hand. Oh for a big house though! I'd go all out!

OrnamentalAsAnything · 04/11/2015 14:53

Is this it, Biddy? www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/prod_10701_10001_236020511873_-1 Cute!

I've bought the special cards (grandparents, one from/to my children from each other) and a small pack, but I barely get time to do much these days, so not sure they will get written or posted!

ConstantlyCooking · 04/11/2015 21:14

50? Lights in Oxford street and red cups in Starbucks! I am too late to start making chutney and have missed some posting deadlines! Obviously I need to focus Xmas Grin

I have never made chutney but you've still got 7 weeks. Should be enough time for some recipes (I bet Nigella has some)

You may spot me on another thread asking about quick mature chutney

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 08/11/2015 08:37

Got my Costco prelit garland for the staircase
Some chocolate marzipan
Some gold wrapped chocolates to go in my uber tacky giant champagne glass centrepiece

Shops weren't too busy yesterday (well it's still November) but the roads were hellish.

less than 7 weeks!!!

DD found half the present for her morning minder yesterday - a gingerbread man mug (as A likes her morning coffee!!) and she wants to give her some chocolates, or maybe make some cookies, to go with it.

I've a lot of catching up to do, having lost the last 5.5 weeks. But this week we need to get back to normal, and I need to get back on track with my plans.

Did I answer someones' question about the onesie DD wanted? Yes it was that boys reindeer one in Debenhams.

I have 2 mags, (possibly Woman+Home and Good Housekeeping - but I could be wrong). I haven't really read them yet, flicked through them vaguely but will enjoy a peaceful coze with them one evening this week. But I have a stash from previous years as well, and some of the ideas are definitely coming back from previous ones.

I did manage to get my chocolate figures in Aldi for the advent calendar. And 2 packets of nice pegs for cards, which I will use with a nice ribbon from Dunnes Stores (not the measly string that came with the pegs!). And a big tub of mini-marshmallows for hot chocolates - yum!!

Happy Mondays!!

I ordered a book for DH this morning, that I can collect on Tuesday.

I am so far from finished it isn't even funny. (Casts second set of snake eyes at Heyhey). And I went through my annual leave sheet yesterday to fix it up, and I have one spare half day to play with until Easter (allowing 3 days over Christmas and 3 days over Easter) - I normally have at least 5-7 spare at this point in the year and plan a day just for myself. But I need to keep the half for emergencies (and I am not taking midterm off either).

But as I walked through (rather than around the outside of!!) M&S or Easons this morning (I did both and need to remember which Blush), I saw that they have both Spiderman and Frozen wrapping paper. I might get both for the various nieces and nephews, as nearly all of them love one or the other. Not for DD though - she might accept spiderman (although Lego, Angry Birds or Minecraft would be ok) but she DETESTS Frozen!! Xmas Grin

Paperblank · 13/11/2015 13:29

The Twitch will bite you Heyhey

IMHO it is inevitable...

BiddyPop · 13/11/2015 14:43

I had a mad dash around the Euroshop, Tiger and Claire's Accessories at lunch. I have sorted craft things for DD and the DCousins to do that will keep them occupied - DD in Advent involving paint, DD and Cousins on Christmas Eve just using ordinary colour (pencils, crayons, markers - whatever is in the house). I have found nice small ribbon bows in good colours, and an added bonus of glitter gluegun sticks!! A tin for putting small buns in at home (was looking for a while).

And the biggest PLUS of all. I am no longer contemplating a new Christmas Jumper - I will wear the whole dinner between my pudding jumper and a turkey for my head from Claire's, complete with sprouts and that the legs wave around and gobble!! O M G I will be soooooo kitsch!!!!Xmas Grin [santa] Xmas Grin !!!!

Honestly, no Wine has been consumed, my staff just looked at me like I was bonkers, but it made me laugh in the shop!!

Heyheyheygoodbye · 13/11/2015 19:50

Xmas Grin one year I twitched so badly I basically bought two lots of Christmas shopping Blush I will be strong this year! She says, after buying three lots of fancy salt today to go in DH's stocking
