my dd is 11 and has had it pretty rough this year.

I have bought her a beautiful silver ring online for £14.99 and its arrived. Its perfect for her, its so beautiful and elegant and just perfect for her.

I know she will be moved to tears since its her first jewellery. I just cant wait to see her face!

What about you?

Love this thread Smile

I'm actually most excited about the little non-stockings that I have put together for ds and his two cousins - we are staying with them on a non-Christmas day and they will all be waking up together, and my hosts have slightly reluctantly agreed to let me give them these little things for the morning. They are cloth treat bags with two little toys and some fudge each.

I've bought DH really good presents. Clothes, smellies and fancy beers. Haven't spent a lot but I think its the first time since having kids I've bought him more than a token gift (if I even manage that).

He wont be expecting much and I think he'll be pleased.

DD - her monkey from Santa. Managed to find a gorgeous little pink dress for it and a lovely little victorian style nightie!

DS - probably skylander giants, he is a massive skylander fan and has no idea he's getting it

DH - a kindle cover that looks like an old hardback of dracula, he wistfully told me he would love it but it was just too expensive (after i bought it for him)

DDad - funnily enough a magnet. When I was about 15/16 he told me he was the milkybar kid in the adverts. I of course believed him and told all my friends (he wasn't) and I found a magnet of a vintage milkybar advert with the kid grinning cheesily on it!

I've bought the boyfriend the full comic compendium of The Walking Dead comics - this is definitely a gift that is as much for me as him although luckily I know he will LOVE it. Smile

I'm looking forward to my dd's opening their telescope, they have always wanted one ( as have I ), I bought it a few days ago after twitching, I am now hoping we will get some clear sky's over Christmas so we can use it.

For my mum - I got her the shop around the corner on DVD for her. She had wanted it for years and has never been able to find it.

For my sister - she has been an absolute rock for me this year, got her loads of small things, but I got her an urban decay naked pallet. She will be thrilled. She's 18 and would never buy it for herself!

For ds1 - he has loads of gifts, but I got him a Gryffindor mug and Starbucks flavoured hot chocolate, and a spy pen. He is going to LOVE these. More than the tablet he asked for if I'm honest.

For my ds 2 - planes 2 on DVD. We saw it in the cinema and he adored it. He is 3 and doesn't understand about the cinema and thinks that planes is over, never to be repeated, kind of like tv. So he will be a very happy boy. I will quickly regret it, but so worth it!

Seeing 10 month DS "play" with the wrapping of his gifts
DH the gift I've got him from the DC. A Mont Blanc pen with his initials engraved. He can use it at work and think of them Smile

I got a beautiful painting done of Dsis's wedding photo. It's a bit of a risk, but it will be a total surprise so I'm looking forward to seeing her face.

I have just twitched and bought some tickets for my DP and DD1 to see Stickman at a local theatre.

DD loves going to the theatre and DP often misses out because he works such long hours.

Now I'm not sure who gets to take the credit for this gift, me or Santa?

I've also twitched and got DH some new football boots and socks. He's been going on about the state of his for months. They will be a total surprise for him!

I'm excited about loads this year!

Walnut whips. DH hasn't had them since he was diagnosed as coeliac 8 years ago, as the normal ones have gluten in. He mentioned recently how much he missed them. However thanks to MN (where else :o) I discovered that the M&S ones are gluten free.

A t-shirt from teefury with a design combining two of DD's absolute favourite things: Totoro and Van Gogh's Starry Night! It's amazing.

I am very excited about giving books to my DCs too, although I'm still struggling to narrow down the choice! Although they are understandably overshadowed by toys, they give so much pleasure throughout the following months.

I've not got anyone anything very exciting this year alas.

However ds (5) has an interactive dinosaur game which he will be pleased with I think. He has a basic one now but I found a more in depth version on eBay. He also has two soft toys which will probably be his favourite things to be honest.

Dh has a barbour jacket - bit worried it'll be too big. We can change it but it's not the same as having something that's just right on Christmas Day is it?

Dm has a bloom and wild six month flower subscription and a new vase for her flowers.

Df has a four month cheese subscription and some posh crackers and a new special engraved cheese knife.

What a lovely thread...I've read every post instead of skimming as i usually do! Im so excited for my dd to open her else dress, she knows how hard they are to get hold of but is confident that Santa can get one! Luckily he has managed to get it! Ds has lots of big pressies but what I know he'll love most is the big box filled with posh art supplies. Can't wait to see their faces. Merry Christmas everyone!!!!

They all know what their main presents are but for little stuff I got ds1 a sound thing for his phone. But it's shaped like a 70s cassette player with play & record,, it's brilliant!

I'm loving the hippo!

I'm excited about pretty much everything I've bought this year but the one thing I can not wait to give is my present to dp. I have got him weekend grandstand tickets for the 2015 f1 at silverstone. He has no idea and I know he is going to love it.

Lots!

I've made hampers for nieces/nephews and my sibling, full of stuff they love.

I bought some heart shaped frames and got a map of the place the recipients lives or got married or something else special to them and put it in the frame.

A tassimo coffee machine for the inlaws.

A pair of Hunter wellies and Ray bans for both my mum and sibling, as I know they would really love them.

Homemade mars bar vodka (it went down really well last year so I know it'll be well received again :) )

The new Lee Evan's dvd of his tour that we saw, which has a personalised cover for DH.

These are all lovely Smile.
I got DD2 an iphone 4s, she has gone on about an iphone for years. She's been told there is no way she's getting one because she constantly drops phones/ipods and smashes the screen. She is going to save up to buy her own. DHs work were selling them for at £100, they were changing over to another type. DH got a bumper case for her so hopefully it will survive.

DD1 has mostly got things of the list she gave me but I have got her a biker jacker as a surprise

ACDC tickets for dh and dd1 (16)
Pentatonix tickets for dd1 and dd2 (11)
Griffyndor cloak for dd2

I think these are the ones that they will love the most although I have tracked down a few bit of Pentatonix merchandise that's quite hard to find for an extra surprise for both dds.

Our dd has done quite well this year with various pressies, but what she really, really wanted was a new iPod as she currently uses her dads old one (5/6 years old). We've told her no chance......
As it's a small package, it'll sit very nicely at the back of her pile. We are so excited to see her face when she opens it. We've also had it inscribed.
Warm fuzziness abounds on this thread!

Very Envy of tge AC/DC tickets, I tried for over an hour for Dublin ones. Also tried for 2 hours for 1D ones for DD2. I have The Vamps and Union J tickets for her, I just hope she believes me that they aren't 1D tickets before she sees them.
