my dd is 11 and has had it pretty rough this year.

I have bought her a beautiful silver ring online for £14.99 and its arrived. Its perfect for her, its so beautiful and elegant and just perfect for her.

I know she will be moved to tears since its her first jewellery. I just cant wait to see her face!

What about you?

A set of 'frozen' figures for my almost 3yr old Ds. He has been playing with stickers of elsa and Anna for a couple of weeks now and they are looking a bit shabby ??

MaelstromOfLunacy · 18/12/2014 21:20

My DH has always wanted to learn to draw - his dad is an amazing artist - so I've got him some tutorial books and all the materials to get started. Can't wait Smile
I've also crocheted my little boy a superhero doll that looks like him - it's the first thing I've made so I'm pretty excited about that!

HeyMicky · 18/12/2014 21:21

I've painted a wardrobe and filled it with dress up clothes for DD. I'm quite jealous of the content, frankly. She will love it

theITgirl · 18/12/2014 21:21

I do hope sil & bil do not do Mumsnet, but they have recently started a new business and I have got some stuff printed with their logo and in the right font and colours. Cannot wait to see their faces on Christmas day.

The children have stuff that they want and stuff that they do not yet know that they want, but the biggest expectation is bil & sil - who have children and I think she posts.

lucysmam · 18/12/2014 21:22

Maelstrom, I still have 'Sonny Jim' (a little soldier) that my mum knitted for me when I was little somewhere. I'm sure your ds will love his superhero & treasure him forever Smile

dementedma · 18/12/2014 21:23

Tickets for Wicked for dd2

Picturesinthefirelight · 18/12/2014 21:25

Tickets to watch Manchester City play at the Ethiad Stadium.

Ds is a huge fan, but the rest of the family support a different club. He talks about being able to go there one day as a dream.

The in laws have bought a match day stadium tour for him too.

Asleeponasunbeam · 18/12/2014 21:25

Oh, and a tiny jar of fairy dust for DD's stocking. Excited about that.

RobinEllacott · 18/12/2014 21:26

We've bought DD a bike. She's been agitating for a bike with pedals for six months. Smuggled it into the house last week - can't wait to see her unwrap it on Christmas morning.

MaelstromOfLunacy · 18/12/2014 21:26

Aw thanks lucysmam - I certainly hope so Smile I've tried to attach a pic. Bit pants but like I say, first thing I've ever made so fairly pleased!

Dingit that's fantastic!

Dionysuss · 18/12/2014 21:32

DD1 has a Minecraft mug with her name on in minecrafty style letters. I know she will live it.

Dd2 is getting a Frozen dress up dress from her aunt. She has wanted one for yonks

lucysmam · 18/12/2014 21:33

oooh, I'll load up proper website just for a look!Grin

Showy · 18/12/2014 21:34

My Dad is an Orthodox Christian and has a very keen but niche interest in certain aspects of religion and geographical religious history. I found the most amazing book in a charity shop. It covers exactly the area he is interested in, is absolutely exquisitely illustrated and is just a beautiful, fascinating (for him at least) book. He will adore it and it was a perfect find. I know nobody else who would even give it a second look.

I've also bought membership for the Young Archaeologists' Club for dd. Her magazines, pin badge, membership card and first archaeology day invitation are all ready for her to unwrap. She has wanted to be an archaeologist for a very long time and I can't wait to see her face.

3yo ds will have to wait until boxing day but his aunt has bought him a remote control bug thing he is obsessed with and I know he will be thrilled.

bambinibop · 18/12/2014 21:35

Lovely thread.

I have got my mum a jumper she spotted while we were out shopping, she just said oh I love that colour and stared at it wistfully. I nipped back and got it and I know she won't be expecting it!

BrightestAndBest · 18/12/2014 21:37

I've bought my niece (aged 2) a football. She was obsessed with DS's football when we stayed with them at half term, and apparently distraught when he took it home with him. I've got her exactly the same one and I know she's going to love it.

lucysmam · 18/12/2014 21:38

Grin Maelstrom he's ace! Love his hair. Your ds will love him.

dingit, I'm very impressed with yours too!

There are some fab talents lurking on here ya know!

Clairej81 · 18/12/2014 21:39

I have got my niece the Playmobil Caravan and cannot wait to see her face on Xmas Day.

blacktreaclecat · 18/12/2014 21:40

DS 2.6 is getting a ukelele. He's going to love it!

TInselaffe · 18/12/2014 21:41

Spa vouchers for my Mum. She never spoils herself. So we have managed to get a ridiculous amount and she can have a 5* weekend away with them. So excited! :)

itsnotjustastick · 18/12/2014 21:41

What's with the driving lesson for an 11 year old?

curiousgeorgie · 18/12/2014 21:42

I've made my DD a 'real' doctors kit and I'm so excited about it!!

Got a lovely box with a first aid cross on it, printed out x Rays on photo paper and laminated them... Got a real stethoscope, otoscope, pill bottles, medicine syringes, bandages, ear thermometer, prescription pad... Loads of stuff and I've been putting it together for months. She's going to love it Grin
