What is your DH getting for Christmas?

There must be a squillion threads along these lines, but I looked back a few pages and couldn't find any!

My DH is so hard to buy for, in that he doesn't really have hobbies and he isn't really into stuff that would be me in this relationship.

He likes reading but works such long hours that he only reads on holiday, and his book stack is growing rapidly. I've bought him a nice bottle of aftershave, CDs and some socks but would like to get him a big present, or at least a few nice smaller ones.

Any ideas?

A black Ally Capellino satchel that is big enough to use as an overnight bag and looks more grown up and professional than the 20 year old conference freebie he currently uses. And I might put some nice things inside it, too.

WaitingForMe · 03/12/2014 17:27

Hobby related stuff for my DH but the gift that went down as his favourite ever was a satchel made from old tyres. I said he needed a man bag and was too old (and senior) to keep using a backpack for work. He said he hated man bags and briefcases. It was from a Fairtrade shop. It gets loads of compliments as it looks very cool but also looks smart with a suit (and is eco-friendly/freetrade).

I set the bar high too early in the relationship!

Special edition of a game he wants, bits and bobs for his trading card game, the traditional family guy socks, and sweets, and a t shirt he's wanted since February('oh I love it but I can't spend £15-£20 on one t shirt!') which will be a lovely surprise. He's also got lovely Simpsons Christmas boxers because everyone needs Christmas pantsWink

A kindle for your DH?

madsadbad · 03/12/2014 17:42

My husband does not want anything ever, genuinely truly if I did not buy anything he would not be bothered, he is sooooooo hard to buy for.
Previously I have got "experiences", but unable to this year as he's opened a business and probably has another year of working 7 days.
I have literally today just sat and thought about his day and now have a few ideas...
Some sort of really comfy maybe heated seat cover for his car as he drives at least 2 hours a day, 7 days a week- if anyone has any recommendations that would be great!
Insulated mug for his coffee in the morning partly a present for me as he nicks all of our bloody mugs going to see if I can get one personalised with either his name or flag on it.
Some really good warm socks (he does have some but maybe some for skiing or something)- as his work is outside.
Download some songs for him for his journeys.
Personalised phone cover.
I can not think of anything else, but at least now he will have some bits to open Grin
