I've told her she might not get it but she reckons Father Christmas might be able to get one no problem. . She's 13yo and adamantly believes in Father Christmas, though I suspect deep down she knows he's not real. When I tried to broach that topic two years ago there were tears so I haven't gone there again.

My DD (now 12yo) was niggling me to let her have a vile Fur Real type guinea-pig toy a couple of years ago. Even as far as spending her own money.

I said it was a waste of money and an insult to her own real life guinea-pigs. So she sent the money to a guinea-pig rescue.
