heyhey you could have a little business there they look fab!

HeyheyheyGoodbye · 09/11/2014 17:04

Wishing I don't think so! My seamstress friend who has inspired me to try sewing says patchwork isn't too difficult in itself as it's just lots of straight lines - it's the planning and cutting that's the hard part I think. But if you did big squares that would help Grin Here's a tutorial for a small version of what I think you're talking about? www.incolororder.com/2014/02/how-to-make-patchwork-drawstring-bag.html

Thank you sweet, mad and ignore! I did think little ones with something in might be nice for table presents at Christmas dinner - hadn't thought about putting the cutlery in, but sounds adorable!

That looks brilliant (and do-able) HeyHeyHey, thank you! I must admit, I'm not even too good at straight lines Blush But wonky ones suit the scruffy handmade look maybe?! If I actually manage to complete it before Christmas I will post a photo of my efforts. Grin

laura you wouldnt If you saw my wrapping I am possibly the worst person in the world at wrapping, I can make a toblerone look like a book. Grin Grin

DS is back to his normal troublesome little self, thank you very much for asking x

supermariossister · 09/11/2014 18:40

supermario

Loving the candy cane idea, so obvious but so clever and hopefully easy. x

IgnoreMeEveryOtherFuckerDoes · 09/11/2014 18:56

Super those are great how did you get the sledges (candy canes) to hold in place, I'm on my phone and think I see kinder egg bar thingy but how you keep it together.

Minty and yet you find yourself still having to keep coming back to post something pointless

ZeViteVitchofCwismas · 09/11/2014 18:56

Im awful at wrapping, dp takes the piss something rotten. He does most of the wrapping and card writing.

I got some really good tips from the Alexi Polizi christmas program last year. Forgotten it all now of course Grin

SkullytonFlowers · 09/11/2014 18:57

i wouldn't be able to post a stash picture, its all hidden at my mums house so the kids have no chance of finding any of it!

Too many memories of my big brother and me going hunting to risk keeping them at home.

my big worry this year is hoping dh's guitar doesn't come on a day he's at home, that one might be a bit difficult to disguise if he is here!

supermariossister · 09/11/2014 18:59

I used clear tape and folded it back on it self but i think a lot of people use a glue gun or similar because everything is wrapped. There is candy canes, milky ways, mini kinders and chocolate santas on these but you could use any chocolate bar the same size as the width between the canes really.

supermariossister · 09/11/2014 19:01

didnt explain that brilliantly.

Candy canes, then width ways between the canes large kinder bars. Then long ways along with the canes milky ways or small kinder bars. with a santa propped at the front and tied with a bow for making extra secure

they held pretty well I gave them with gifts to nieces/nephews and they didnt seem to come apart. most of them were young hence the milky chocolate but for older dc you could use any chocolate

IgnoreMeEveryOtherFuckerDoes · 09/11/2014 19:07

Thanks Super I'm going to give that a go, will look so much nicer than what I did last year (chuck it in a box)

lauraR1989 · 09/11/2014 19:21

lauraR1989 · 09/11/2014 19:22
