Another new thread?

Someone asked about toys r us - there's a £5 off floating about, is it BIRTHDAY9? And just now if you buy £100 of products you get a £15 voucher. Don't think you need a code.

That any good?

cluelessbutinsured · 07/11/2014 17:26

I've finally got a code for Firebox discount (good for teens and hard to buy for men/gadgets) if you enter EARLY15 at checkout you get 15% off Smile

VinoTime · 07/11/2014 17:29

Stopped in at my local WHSmith's this afternoon and got:

A Monster high 3 book box set (books 1, 2 and 3) for £7.99

A beautiful A4 sized Frozen tin filled with stickers and colouring in bits for £5.00.

And the cutest The Snowman and the Snowdog gift set (hardback book and small snowdog cuddly toy) for £5.00.

They were on 3 for 2 and were all already half price, so only paid £12.99 for all 3. I got a 20% discount card to use starting on Monday and a £5.00 off voucher for purchases over £20.00 as well, so I'll be back in on Monday to bag a few more bits. They had some lovely gift sets for children in, so definitely worth keeping in mind Smile

IAlreadyToldYou · 07/11/2014 17:32

Thanks WildFlowers, I will try chucking the code in too. These were on the till in front of me too, I went to take two and she took them off me! And said she'd need a signature off me and that I'd have to wait for my email. I asked for one for my dh and she said "well, ok but you'll have to ask him to come in and sign it." Made me feel like a criminal! Grin.

nzou2 · 07/11/2014 17:34

To the posters who have bought the Google cardboard glasses, can anyone recommend the best site to get them from? Thanks

VinoTime · 07/11/2014 17:34

Oh, and I got in my Polar Express Believe golden ticket for dd and it's fab!

Still no sign of the sleigh bell yet though.

neddle · 07/11/2014 17:37

IHeartKingThistle imo 1 Hama bead is too many Xmas Grin

IHeartKingThistle · 07/11/2014 17:56

To be fair I would say exactly half of any set end up in the hoover! Very popular in this house though!

candykane25 · 07/11/2014 18:10

An alternative to the sold out Monty and Mabel. A bit cheaper, and goes to a good cause.

London Zoo penguin

Joycey29 · 07/11/2014 18:12

Found you guys at last - normally done by now but this year I m off the boil!

woowoo22 · 07/11/2014 18:14

What is the best way to use Body Shop codes? Am unsure if they stack or not.

serin · 07/11/2014 18:15

To anyone awaiting a Frozen dress from Aliexpress, I ordered one for 17yr old DD (to wear to a Children in Need event) It arrived in about 3 weeks and the quality is great. The fabric is on the thin side, she wears a slip under it.

IgnoreMeEveryOtherFuckerDoes · 07/11/2014 18:17

No codes don't stack woo can only use one

marne2 · 07/11/2014 18:17

Has anyone seen marmite chocolate in any shops? Just seen it on firebox and would love to get a bar for my marmite crazy friend but I don't want to pay postage for a bar of chocolate ( and I don't want to twitch and buy more from firebox ).

PinkSquash · 07/11/2014 18:18

Just marking place Thanks

missmakesstuff · 07/11/2014 18:20

Yamas thank you for this list of Santa is coming to books, found out they do one for our slightly shit town, was done for dd but she might need this for Xmas eve, 4.99 on Amazon. Now need to spend 5.01 for free delivery though.....

PandasRock · 07/11/2014 18:21

Marne, I saw marmite chocolate in Sainsbury's earlier today. They had a load of other marmitey gifts too, but the choc was definitely there.

A friend of mine bought it in one of those endless male-oriented gadget and tat shops (Menkind?) a couple of years ago too, if you have one of those near you.

AnnaBegins · 07/11/2014 18:31

Wow I can't keep up with these threads!

Right, I've got a mission for you, I got my secret Santa person at work and it's someone I don't know at all. Male, late twenties, likes gadgets, I think he plays football with some other colleagues, vaguely remember him saying he goes hill walking. Need a gift under £10, and it can't be an amusing mug (my go-to male present) as we are not allowed our own mugs at work so would be a bit pointless.

Any ideas? Might add the Chinese gadget card to whatever I get as I bought it for DH last year and he doesn't use it!

kiwidreamer · 07/11/2014 18:34

missmakesstuff I got the DC one of those books last year, it is really brilliant - lots of local references. I was in Costco this week (Reading) and they had a huge stack of them.

Methenyouplus4 · 07/11/2014 18:36

4 Orchard games in Sainsburys was reduced to £7.99, only £2 per game!

Could someone link the zip headphones, can't find them.in list at start of post and only for £5 on Amazon but sure they were linked for about £2.50.

marne2 · 07/11/2014 18:37

Thank you pandas, will have to take a trip to sainsburys .

nodramamama · 07/11/2014 18:40

Vinotime thanks again for mentioning polar express last thread as I managed to book seats at last, seeing as last year it was fully booked... I'm sure I'm more excited than I should be!

riskit4abiskit · 07/11/2014 18:42

I can confirm to whoever asked a million messages ago that toot toot animals and cars are not compatible because I asked a man in smyths

2kidsintow · 07/11/2014 18:55

Ana, I was going to suggest a Wallet ninja (which could be the same as the gadget card thing). DH is getting one.
