Thank you JammyGeorge and Rugbylovingmum she's very fond of gingery things, crafty things and making a mess so those ideas sound really good!Flowers

I was in our local Range yesterday. It's well worth a visit. They have everything you could possibly need. I was quite overwhelmed and I'm planning a visit on a weekday as it was unbelievably mobbed.

TiredNow · 09/11/2014 15:00

Saga not one near me but one near my mums, its pretty good, nice decorations/craft bits/candles and cushions etc. at good decent prices

Picturesinthefirelight · 09/11/2014 15:04

I love the nutcracker charm bracelet advent calendar.

I wanted to get a Primark nail varnish one for 13 year old dd but they are sold out in my local Primark

Wonder if it is suitable for a just turned 13 year old. She dances.

Picturesinthefirelight · 09/11/2014 15:06

I find that The Range has quite a lot if nice stuff but its a bit overpriced compared to places like Home Bargains or even Argos for some stuff.

duckbilled · 09/11/2014 15:13

I love the range, make sure you have plenty of time to spend... Grin

msb123 · 09/11/2014 15:35

ChocolateWombat · 09/11/2014 15:44

Got a Hetty Feather (Jaqueline Wilson's Victorian orphan series)box set of all 3 books from Amazon for £3.83.
Seemed great value for 3 books and a very good present for an 8-12 year old girl. Sorry I can't do links.

marne2 · 09/11/2014 15:45

I have just got back from the Range, I had to return so etching, was going to have another look around but it was crazy in there, so many people pushing and shoving so I went to Dunelm instead and bought myself some curtains. First time I have been shopping and not picked up anything for Christmas.

LucyTheValiant · 09/11/2014 15:54

I just went into the Body Shop to redeem my glamour magazine thing and it was worth £3, so I bought a hand cream for part of hamper for 50p! On the receipt is a £10 off £20 spend for December so it's worth keeping the receipt.

werenotreallyhere · 09/11/2014 15:56

Just marking my place Grin

Theonlyoneiknow · 09/11/2014 15:58

Can i ask a favour, there was talk of brown paper for wrapping and then decorating with stamps, does anybody have any links? Thanks!

IgnoreMeEveryOtherFuckerDoes · 09/11/2014 16:04

£25 off £50 spend on body shop from 11th November (the never ending body shop offers)

wyldstile · 09/11/2014 16:04

Aargh! Just asked DD what sort of dress she wanted to wear at her birthday party (she's 5 on Xmas eve, have agreed to a party for the first time) and she announces "an Anna dress" out of the blue. She also has a couple of Disney/Frozen/Princess parties to go to in a couple of weeks so I'm going to cave in and get one. Too late for Ali, have seen some on eBay posted from the uk for about £12 delivered. Thinking that seems an OK price, wise Frozen gurus?

IgnoreMeEveryOtherFuckerDoes · 09/11/2014 16:05

marne it was like that in my local range few weeks back so I ordered my stuff online and used topcashback

daddykyller · 09/11/2014 16:39

These look pretty cool on amazon local:

Personalised Kid's Photo Adventure Story Books with Disney, Marvel and Nickelodeon Characters
Better than half price right now, at £12

don't know how long for.
It says:
"Make your child the star of an amazing adventure.
Options include Disney Princesses, Spiderman, SpongeBob SquarePants and more." There are loads of different types of stories you can put them into.

And there's a whole section on ebay with Christmas shop stuff now- like decorations and trees as well as top sale stuff and biggest selling presents that are on offer

OhCobblers · 09/11/2014 16:53

wyldstile check matalan for an Anna costume.

Those who have bought the elsa toddler doll from Home Bargains, how much was it there? Thanks

LucyTheValiant · 09/11/2014 16:57

I'm getting this bird feeder for my gran - she's 90 and not very mobile so will enjoy the opportunity to sit and watch the birds from her chair. Combined with cheapo bird food from pound land it'll be a nice gift for under ten pounds www.marksandspencer.com/clear-birdhouse/p/p22293025?extid=ps_ggl_UK_Gen_,Home+&+Furniture+_PLAHome+&+Furniture+--%3E+Garden+&+Travel+--%3E+Outdoor+--%3E+Garden+Accessories+--%3E+Bird+Feeders_M&S+Window+Bird+Feeder&ef_id=U68KsQAABKTJ3Fv5:20141109130727:s

TwigletLola · 09/11/2014 17:16

When I went into my local TKMaxx last week they had loads of the Ciate Mail varnish advent calendars on sale for £19.99, think they're normally £30 or £40 so quite a good reduction. They're a lot smaller than I thought though, definitely wouldn't have full sized nail varnishes in, more like 1/2 size ones.

DamselNotInHerDress · 09/11/2014 17:21

Does anyone know if there are any Office codes or vouchers anywhere before I resign myself to spending stupid money on some boots for ds?

missmakesstuff · 09/11/2014 17:25

Thanks moosey I was waiting for the cello wrap to come out to wrap up cheaper looking things for the teacher gifts I'm getting from the body shop. On that, the body shop today offered me 40% off anything as I was browsing and looking at sets to see what to get with the b2g2 free offer, so it's worth looking thoughtful in there!
I might just spend my £3 card then see if I get a voucher like lucy though, need three hand cream sets for £21 so that would make them a bargain.

I8toys · 09/11/2014 17:28

Love that bird feeder Lucy - ideal for mother in law

zipzap · 09/11/2014 17:29

Daddykyller Those personalised books on Amazon Local go for £10 normal price at Asda, have the advantage of being able to be picked up in store so no postage and even better - they're currently £7.50 per book at the moment. No idea how long the offer is on for but it's been on for at least a week.

Personalised kids books at Asda

have just looked a bit more closely and realised the Asda ones are just personalised by name rather than with a photo but if price is an important consideration they may well be worth considering!
