Sixth thread Shock but it’s OK we are allowed to get excited about Christmas now as it’s September

I’ve been a bit sporadic with this OP in what has been selected for adding in or not as there are too many links to add them all in, hope I haven’t forgotten anything major. Please forgive the fact that so many sale and amazon products aren’t individually linked or are linked but price may since change by the time you click on it - so many of them are out of stock and amazon seem to change prices on an almost hourly basis (it feels like) on a number of items that were previously linked to. I haven’t checked all links to see if prices have altered since last thread so apologies if youg et very excited followed by disappointed. I will try to do better next time. As usual please tell me if any of these links/codes don’t work or if there’s anything particularly you want to be in the next OP (assuming there is another Wink ) how would I do any shopping without you now

Thanks for all your help in helping my christmas shopping in 2013 be once again bargainous Grin

Was all set to check out with Character Shop but £4.95 postage is too steep, hate paying postage anyhoo but nearly a fiver to send pj's is harsh.

HaplessHousewife · 10/09/2013 21:49

Been lurking so far but waves to Reastie, elainey and raisah. I live near Ruxley and Coolings too.

Just checked Ruxley's website and all the slots for the school holidays and weekends have gone already so I guess I'll be looking elsewhere!

Rubybrazilianwax · 10/09/2013 21:51

Hippo St Georges is in the old market building, on every weekend but as Toisa says, lovely at Christmas. Just across from the Waterfront. We have been to most Santas in N Ireland over the years! The one up in the Mournes is very special, beautiful setting but pricey. Another one we loved was at the Navan centre in Armagh. They do crafts with the dc then you visit Santa in their ancient thatched round house, the ceiling is covered in lights and its fabulous. Armagh's Georgian day at the start of December is lovely, trad characters etc. The Argory manor house is also very atmospheric, think Downton Abbey at Christmas.

ProtectiveMother · 10/09/2013 21:52

If anyone sees any slipper socks bargains or ways to buy treacle toffee lol, I would be interested. Also good cheap card-making materials and posh but cheap nail polish sets, would be great! :-) Oh! And Christmas hamper ideas would be fab too! Never made one before and there were great ideas on previous thread. :-)

YoureAllABunchOfBastards · 10/09/2013 21:54

Thanks for the Skylanders Pyjamas link.

Just bought the Mog book on Amazon, and also got The Pirate Cruncher and Say Hello to the Dinosaurs for £1.75 each - one for nephew, one for friend's little boy.

gingerpinz · 10/09/2013 21:59

chicaguapa I've just ordered a 3 month spicery subscription for my BIL's birthday at the end of this month you just put in the different delivery details and there is an option to add a message and/or state who the gift subscription is from. HTH!

LaTrucha · 10/09/2013 22:01

The Alfie book is the World Book Day version. DD loves Alfie, though, so she won't care.

RhondaJean · 10/09/2013 22:04

Protective, home bargains had totes slipper socks really cheaply recently. I got dd1 a pair and they were less than £2 instead of £7/8.

VoldemortsNipple · 10/09/2013 22:08

My Lego soaps arrived today looking good enough to eat.

Protectivemother, I picked up some lovely crocheted Totes slipper socks, boxed, in Home Bargains on Saturday for £2. I'm not sure if they are online though.

lilylaville · 10/09/2013 22:08

Marking place. Think I now have all dds Christmas presents, now for her birthday. Keep em coming!! Thank you.

craftynclothy · 10/09/2013 22:11

chicaguapa Yes, it works on either the subscription or the subscription voucher.

commotionintheocean · 10/09/2013 22:11

Oh I do love things in alphabetical order! Thanks Reastie. I am now the proud owner of six magpie mugs, Joules wellies, and a vTech toy. Thanks to all.

EweHaveGoatToBeKiddin · 11/09/2013 00:03

The 6th thread?! We'll soon have enough to make our own bargain-thread advent calender. Grin

Does anyone know if the Playmobil Grande mansion 5302 is likely to go any lower than £93 before Christmas?

I've already bought all the sets to go with it throughout the year when they were on offer, but I'm growing impatient waiting for the mansion itself to drop its price. Amazon had it for £87 a few weeks back and I thought I'd hold off in case it went down any further, but it went the opposite way.

Apparently the Entertainer had it for £50 last year (according to Tesco direct), but it's no longer available. I'm following it on CamelCamel.

Freemilk · 11/09/2013 00:12

Just a reminder that the Christmas finger puppets can be got slightly cheaper if you search for others.

Had a book people delivery today, got 15% off too which was lovely thanks for that code, all the books were great but one of them was wrong so I will email and see what they say.

Still waiting for my WHsmith order too here, it was coming to the store and is now coming up to the end of the 10 or 14 days they quoted so I hope it gets here in the next day or two.

Another request for any Corolle dolls on offer please, want the ballerina and it is coming up as expensive everywhere.

curiousgeorgie · 11/09/2013 00:19

Just marking my place...

I hated Harrods Santa, nothing special, massive queues and far too busy.

I love Chessington Garden Centre Santa, am going there and to Longleat with my DD's this year Grin

BuffyFairy · 11/09/2013 00:43

Marking place, great OP as ever Reastie Thanks

Will check out the Spicery subscriptions, thanks Moosey for that code.

TK Maxx had Nails Inc sets of 4 in nice colours for £12.99.

blondieminx · 11/09/2013 01:02

Epic OP there Reastie Thanks

Hopefully be back with some bargains tomorrow! Going to a designer outlet place.
