Sixth thread Shock but it’s OK we are allowed to get excited about Christmas now as it’s September

I’ve been a bit sporadic with this OP in what has been selected for adding in or not as there are too many links to add them all in, hope I haven’t forgotten anything major. Please forgive the fact that so many sale and amazon products aren’t individually linked or are linked but price may since change by the time you click on it - so many of them are out of stock and amazon seem to change prices on an almost hourly basis (it feels like) on a number of items that were previously linked to. I haven’t checked all links to see if prices have altered since last thread so apologies if youg et very excited followed by disappointed. I will try to do better next time. As usual please tell me if any of these links/codes don’t work or if there’s anything particularly you want to be in the next OP (assuming there is another Wink ) how would I do any shopping without you now

Thanks for all your help in helping my christmas shopping in 2013 be once again bargainous Grin

DS is four and loves The Pirate Cruncher and the other Johnny Duddle books.

RhondaJean · 16/09/2013 20:52

Oh dear another mag subscription...

I've spent £10 on 6 of them now.

lilylaville · 16/09/2013 20:53

Cheap tablet for sister - can't remember who posted

BUT If you can 'club' (not going there again!) together with someone then a kindle fire would be much much better than a cheap android one. I paid £50 for one and it hasn't got the best response but I tried a kindle fire out in tesco the other day and it was so much better. They are £99 right now.

platespinnermum · 16/09/2013 21:05

Just did an M&S order for some Nature's Extract toiletries - it takes the 20% off the full price and also takes off half of the full price of the second item, so with the free P&P code STANDARD I got 2 of these [[http://www.marksandspencer.com/Natures-Extracts-Hand-Cream-Collection/dp/B000NJGYH6?ie=UTF8&ref=sr_1_21&nodeId=1503497031&sr=1-21&qid=1379361651
Hand & Nail Cream Collection]] for £3.85 which is even more bargainous than BOGOF Smile Hopefully it will work like this on all items in that range!

platespinnermum · 16/09/2013 21:07

^^ Not more bargainous than BOGOF actually, meant to say Buy 1 Get 1 Half Price. Getting far too carried away with all of this, hopelessly addicted to this thread!!

clr2014 · 16/09/2013 21:19

So glad to have checked in... was going to ask if anyone knew if there would be an M&S 20% event before Christmas! Had my eye on some nightwear, all ordered now Grin

raisah · 16/09/2013 21:20

Oreocrumbs Sylvanian family houses

www.sylvanianfamilies.com/index.php?cPath=11ll

I don't know if this is any cheaper than Tescos or Argos but they seem to stock a large selection of the sylvanian range.

bymoonlight · 16/09/2013 21:23

Does anyone have a spare code for 20% of M&S clothing?

coveredinweetabix · 16/09/2013 21:25

Reastie - I don't bother with your OP as I presume the prices (esp Amazon) will have changed and because I check this thread so often and buy things immediately so don't need to refer back

Oreo - am jealous of your duvet purchase. I'm going to ring our local outlet (25 miles away) and see if they have one and, if so, if they can put it back for me.

Does anyone know if ASDA fake Duplo is compatible with proper Duplo? And, if so, does it attach as well? We've got some Ecoffier (sp?) and I find that a bit rubbish. Our local ASDA have some fab looking fake Duplo sets in their 2 for £20 deals.

Theimpossiblegirl · 16/09/2013 21:26

Does the Kindle Fire have a camera? Both DDs want tablets and I'm not sure what to get. They do like to take pics.

MissBeehiving · 16/09/2013 21:28

Thanks for that platespinner - some nice smellie type things there :)

CarmonEileen · 16/09/2013 21:34

Not sure if anyone else has posted this as I'm on my phone and its taking forever to scroll. . Toys r us are price matching, found Lego Friends Olivia's House on John Lewis for £47.99 cheapest ive seen it plus £3 p&p Not sure re T&C's but worth a look.

LaTrucha · 16/09/2013 21:36

rightsaidthread - both but I think the one that matters is the bank one

BornToFolk · 16/09/2013 21:38

Has anyone seen any good Christmassy pyjamas? I need some for DS (6) for Christmas Eve and he wants a new dressing gown too. I'd prefer not character ones. I've looked in the usual places and the only ones I like are Boden ones which are a little beyond my budget...

sameoldIggi · 16/09/2013 21:41

Was looking at Megabloks on the Entertainers sale, then looked at same on Amazon - same pice, and no postage charge.

lilylaville · 16/09/2013 21:44

No camera [impossible]

lilylaville · 16/09/2013 21:45

ach you know what I mean

bymoonlight · 16/09/2013 21:48

98percentchocolate- Thank you for the info about the pj's Smile

clr2014 · 16/09/2013 21:48

anyone seen good deals on converse? DS feet have jumped from 2 to 4 and so now needing to pay adult prices Shock. Would love to get some for under £30... Black preferably...

coveredinweetabix · 16/09/2013 21:49

I'd hold out a bit longer for Xmas PJs. Last year Hatley, JoJo, Boden, Boots, M&S, ASDA, Sainsburys & Primark certainly all did them but most of them ( and def the supermarkets) didn't have them until around Halloween (which coincides with two pay days before Xmas)

AllThatGlistens · 16/09/2013 21:49

Ooh thanks platespinner have just snapped up those hand creams! Flowers

BornToFolk · 16/09/2013 21:53

Thanks coveredinweetabox, I'll hold out for a bit. I had the difficult conversation with exP last night and we agreed that DS would be with me for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day so I'm getting properly excited now...have to remember that it's still only Sept though!

zipzap · 16/09/2013 21:54

Borntofolk - I've had good pyjamas and dressing gowns from Boots of all places - ds1 had a dressing gown from there when he was about 3 that his brother now wears - 5 years of solid abuse and it still looks as good as new. It's a dinosaur one rather than a christmas one per se and I know they've had other dinosaurs (although never quite as cute as the first one!) over the years, as ds2 got one the next year that was well worn until he grew out of it.

But I seem to remember last year that they had things that were like red with navy stars for the boys so could be quite festive but not OTT Santa or reindeer everywhere so you could use them throughout the year. Not particularly cheap - but given how well the pjs and dressing gowns have lasted they were very reasonable. Also they often seemed to have buy one get one half price offers and the last few years Boots have had their shopping evenings instore and online where you bought say £50 of stuff and then got £12 or more back in boots points and if you were in store they were handing out lots of nice chocolates and wine to help the shopping pass more pleasantly, which always helps so if you time it right and have enough stuff to buy you can juggle it to get it all for a really good price.

Oh thank you for the Amazon/Topcashback offer. I treated myself to a new book (was £5.75 but I was hoping to get it for Xmas anyway so 75p will be a bargain)
