Here we go people, the second bargain Christmas thread for 2013 already . Please forgive the fact that so many sale and amazon products aren?t individually linked - so many of them are out of stock and amazon seem to change prices on an almost hourly basis (it feels like) on a number of items that were previously linked to. As usual please tell me if any of these links/codes don?t work or if there?s anything particularly you want to be in the next OP (assuming there is another Wink ) how would I do any shopping without you now

Thanks for all your help in helping my christmas shopping in 2013 be once again bargainous Grin

JJB Sports have lots of Character Drinks Bottles at half price or less, including Spiderman and Hello Kitty. I've just bought some for school in Sept but they might be good stocking fillers. They're around £2-£2.50.

MrsSheepiness · 01/08/2013 22:58

Thanks for the tips so far, have ordered the magic set and the play kitchen from the entertainer and some books from the works, they wouldn't let me use 20% off and free delivery codes together though, even when I took the time to ring up and complain...so they will be going back on principle.... is there a cutting nose off to spite your face icon

MrsSheepiness · 01/08/2013 22:59

Ooh and I'm waiting on the finger puppets... Flowers

For all those that like books - you're probably already familiar with the book people from being on here. However, for their real bargains, they have a clearance site called www.bananas.co.uk

You need to move quickly when stock is put on there because it can go very quickly - they only put it there when they don't have much left to have it reliably on the main book people or red house sites.

But they currently have a complete winnie the pooh collection of 30 books for £18, 6 doctor who books for a fiver, a nice looking collection of 10 myths and legends books for £8 and a set of 20 horrid henry books for £18.

It's definitely worth signing up for their email as they don't come very often but they do when they have put a load of stuff on the site - sometimes it is fairly empty. But when they put a load of stuff on there to make way for new season books on the main site, it has some really good bargains. And then they often have bargains on top - so for example if you buy 10 books priced at £1 then you get them for £7.50

It's the sort of site that if you know you want to do books for party bags or similar well in advance then keep an eye on it and you should strike lucky quite soon - but if you need them for the end of the week you're unlikely to find just what you want!

BeaWheesht · 01/08/2013 23:23

Tesco had chroma magic sets in and spy glasses or £2 today.

They also had snap bands and pull back scuttling beasties for £1. My kids love this kind of thing even if I don't!

attheendoftheday · 01/08/2013 23:23

I've just got this for dd1:

Le Toy Van Barbarossa Pirate Ship down to £31.44 from £45.

I've been looking for a wooden pirate ship for a while and this is the best price I've seen.

BeaWheesht · 01/08/2013 23:24

Chroma? Wtf???

NigellaEllaElla · 01/08/2013 23:38

Icutmyfoot There are some Octonaut books on the Bananas site for £5 instead of £20.

For Christmas crafts, there are lots of things in yellow moon's clearance and also lots of other craft stuff, stocking fillers, games etc in their clearance generally.

skyeskyeskye · 02/08/2013 00:27

LittleSporksBigSpork · 02/08/2013 01:11

Marking spot. Loved this thread last year, and will be needing it this year.

joymaker · 02/08/2013 06:27

Zipzap thanks for the tip off about banana (heard of the book people a long time ago but not this site) missed out on the complete winnie the pooh collection of 30 books which is now out of stock-poo! but have signed up to their news letter so hopefully bargains are just around the corner Grin

RubyGoat · 02/08/2013 06:53

Hi can anyone help me find some Lego Duplo for DD without breaking the bank? Thanks.

iloveholidays · 02/08/2013 07:34

Lego... I always find the Tesco double up clubcard vouchers exchange good for Lego. Obviously depends if you have club card though :)

LaTrucha · 02/08/2013 07:34

That pirate ship has gone down to 27.28 now

Oreocrumbs · 02/08/2013 07:35

Duplo my first fire station £9.70 John Lewis.

That was the best deal I could find on a quick search, but there are a lot of duplo deals, they crop up quite a bit.

It would be worth tracking on camel any sets you really like because the can drop them very quickly and they put them back up!

They have put a big box of duplo on the Amazon black Friday deal in the last couple of years too, so it might be worth waiting to see what crops up.

Oreocrumbs · 02/08/2013 07:38

3 for 2 on selected mattel toys at toys r us. Some of them are already reduced.

Some hot wheels sets reduced from £19.99 to £9.99 and on 3 for 2, so £20 all in.
