Second Christmas bargain 2013 thread already? It's still only July!

Here we go people, the second bargain Christmas thread for 2013 already . Please forgive the fact that so many sale and amazon products aren?t individually linked - so many of them are out of stock and amazon seem to change prices on an almost hourly basis (it feels like) on a number of items that were previously linked to. As usual please tell me if any of these links/codes don?t work or if there?s anything particularly you want to be in the next OP (assuming there is another Wink ) how would I do any shopping without you now

Thanks for all your help in helping my christmas shopping in 2013 be once again bargainous Grin

Can i ask a question?

I've just picked up a load of stuff from my local Argos clearance sale. But it's just dawned on me that if anything is damaged/missing, I'll not find out until dd has opened them on Christmas day. Which, of course, will make it far too late for a return.

So what are you all doing? Are you opening and testing products then sealing them back again as best you can? Or are you just leaving them unopened and hoping for the best?

Here's what I've just picked up. Might be worth a look if your local Argos has any of them in stock too.

Excellent for birthday parties/presents for neices etc. Comes in a pack of 3 large boxes but can be broken into three separate gifts very easily. \link{http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10151&catalogId=1500002951&langId=110&productId=842562\Chad Valley Mega Craft Pack Less Than Half Price - now £9.99}

Great stocking filler. \link{http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10151&catalogId=1500002951&langId=110&productId=802710\Crayola Pipsqueaks/Sketch Half price - now £1.99}

Boring, but it's batteries to go with the above alarm clock. \link{http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10151&catalogId=1500002951&langId=110&productId=795832\Panasonic 9V Battery Better Than Half Price - now 99p}

Buckaroo game £5.19 at Mothercare

ICutMyFootOnOccamsRazor · 01/08/2013 18:00

Thanks for starting this so early!

Just wondering, has anyone seen any Octonauts bargains anywhere? I now have two Octonauts obsessed children .

MooseyMoo · 01/08/2013 18:02

Feegle I've only got into Christmas since last year when my eldest was 2.5 yo. This year I'll have a 3.5 yo and a 2 yo and its going to be manic. Can't wait to make reindeer food this year and for the kids to help sprinkle it in garden. I made mincemeat last weekend and vanilla essence. Limoncello is being started this weekend and looking at other recipes to make for presents (I have two family members who can't eat chocolate so thinking peppermint creams). I've given up on wishing for a white christmas. I would just like a hard frost that melts before people have to travel Smile

Happiestinwellybobs · 01/08/2013 19:21

ICut

Argos have some good Octonaut offers:

Octonauts Kwazii playset reduced from £26.99 to £16.99

Feegle I'm sure this thread will get you into the Christmas spirit in no time Smile and spending to much money Wink. I'm sure you'll have a great Christmas this year with your DD and DS. Your DD will be old enough to get excited and see Santa so that will help get you festive

LifeIsSoDifferent · 01/08/2013 19:52

Thanks iloveholidays I've just ordered that kitchen. I don't know if it will be much good for DD at Christmas she might be a bit small but for £6 who can moan!

Thanks whoever said about the peppa pig book for £1.36 mine came today and its worth the money.

I've got a couple of bits to pick up from argos tomorrow and I will have 5 presents!

joymaker · 01/08/2013 20:18

When I was in my local sainsbury's today they had Lego drinking bottles like these reduced from £10 to £3 doesn't seem to be online though.

Just purchased some of those finger puppets from (Amazon) link on OP and they've gone down to an even more bargainous £1.34 Smile

hippoherostandinghere · 01/08/2013 20:21

Murtette · 01/08/2013 21:04

Just ordered a few sets of the finger puppets as then each guest can have a couple in their party bag at DD's birthday (which isn't for 3 months but last year I forgot about party bags until 9pm the night before so had to dash to ASDA and buy whatever tat they had!)

Kelly281 · 01/08/2013 21:33

Thanks for the Happyland tip babydreams. I'm going to hold off and see if Mothercare will price match tomorrow, because I loath having to pay for delivery! At least Mothercare have the option to collect in store.
