What's the oddest thing DC have asked for, and did they get it?

Years ago DS asked for a yellow suit. Was v young & couldn't describe it but wanted it for months.
I bought him some thermal longjohns & a vest & dyed them bright yellow with dylon along with a pillow case that I attached as a cape. I got some red felt and cut it into his initial & attached it to the front with wonderweb.
He was delighted with it on Christmas morning & then never wore it
DD has asked for a diamond maker this year - I've told her if she manages to get one I'd quite like a few diamonds myself.

DS wants Mountain Dew as I refuse to buy it due to the cost/sugar.

Isn't mountain dew the one that's got more caffeine than cola? That sounds like an ideal think to put in his xmas stocking to get the day off to a bang -Hyperactivity in a can!

dd (6) at the christmas grotto last year asked Santa for a hotwater bottle.... it was quite embarrassing to be honest!

At 4 DD asked for a flying mermaid and the Santa at the mall told her it would happen.

This year she asked me to tone it down a bit, that they didn't need so many presents and maybe 5 would be enough

DD wants an umputer and a Christmas hippo (mainly the Christmas hippo.)

DS2 (aged 3) has decided this year he wants a cat, an oven, a chocolate maker, a lollipop maker and a banana maker

DS1 (6) has decided, even though we dont have a WII, he wants some WII games ...

Dd has asked for a ladder. I asked her why and she said so she could climb up it, I asked why she wanted to climb up a ladder and she very matter of factly told me "so I can climb back down" so if anyone knows where I can get a ladder for a two year old.....

Clandy - would she mind if the ladder had a slide attached?

DD1 has written "One of the cats to spend the night in my room".

DD2 wants "A ril leptop" [a real laptop]. Not going to happen, sorry!

not sure where you would find a real live ladybird at this time of year...(as they are all in their dormant phase) but these guys sell them (and lots of ladybird type toys.....)

oh dear, as well as the 'rainy deer' dd2 (2) has now asked for a new baby. Do you think I can fob her off with something else?

One year when DS was about 3 he asked for a blue cuckoo clock. He stuck to wanting this for months in the run up to Christmas. Couldn't find one anywhere, had to buy a regular one and get the paints out!
