So the spreadsheets have been completed, the matches have gone out, all is done. Gin

We're all waiting with bated breath. If you're a recipient and you'd like to pop back on here when your gift arrives to thank your donor then do remember to look out for your MN code which will have been included in the address on the packaging and include it in your post. The person who sent the gift will then be able to know it's you.

If anyone has any questions about anything to do with the Mumsnet Christmas Appeal then do please email [email protected].

Ho Ho Ho!

A huge thank you to my Secret Santa.

I wasn't going to accept my nomination but MNHQ sent a very persuasive email.
I don't know who nominated me but I was thrilled that someone would think of me.

I've had a truely horrible day so to arrive home to a lovely parcel containing lots of wrapped gifts and some very generous giftcards has really lifted my spirits.

Also, thank you for taking the time to write such a lovely Christmas message - unfortunatley despite the MN007 tag I don't have Daniel Craig lurking anywhere!

TrazzleMISTLEtoes · 08/12/2012 22:59

It was the Daniel Craig reference that got stuck in my head. He's on my Christmas list Xmas Grin

SecretSanta118 · 08/12/2012 22:59

I think my MNer is now here and her parcel has safely arrived. Xmas Grin

...please excuse me, I have something in my eye...

thegreylady · 09/12/2012 09:55

I too don't need a thank you at all but it was a big box and if it hasn't come I will try to send something registered post to replace it. I wish I had thought of tracking-just used ordinary Parcel force :(

LadyMaryChristmas · 09/12/2012 10:31

Maybe the receiver hasn't had access to the internet or has been unwell, thegreylady. Xmas Smile

Mouseface · 09/12/2012 10:37

For all of you worrying about big boxes not getting there, I had a delivery via Royal Mail Parcel Force on Thursday in a giant box, that was dispatched 10 days earlier according to an email from Amazon....... I spoke to the delivery driver (as I was pissed off it had taken so long to get here because it's all needed for this weekend) and he said it was just 'this time of year' and that loads of people are in the same boat as me.

Must be a bloody big boat, or an Ark!!! Xmas Grin

He said that they don't always send them in geographical order so he could be on one side of the town/county in the morning, then the other in the PM and then back again later on......

Kinda felt sorry for him then Xmas Blush

Hope you get your parcels soon x

LadyMaryChristmas · 09/12/2012 10:50

A kind soul nominated me. I'm a little worried about receiving something that won't fit through the letter box as they will take it to the post office and I don't have any ID for 'mumsnetter of the house'. Confused

MN125 · 09/12/2012 11:09

Hello again

I can't believe I am here again to thank another lovely Secret Santa for their kindness and generosity.

I was just in the middle of crying all over dh this morning (bad week) when the doorbell rang and there was a very cheerful postman with a big box addressed to the Mumsnetter of the house - and on Sunday too! Shock

It was such a lovely surprise that I stopped crying, only to start again when I opened it, read your note and saw all the presents you have sent us.

I have been very good and put the presents under the tree for Christmas morning - so shall be back to thank you properly when we have opened them. Smile

To both my Secret Santas and whoever the kind soul was that nominated me ... I honestly can't find the words to thank you for giving me such a lift this Christmas.

This really is Mumnsnet at it's best and I will definitely get involved with the giving side of things next year - and now I am crying again. Blush

Thanks Thanks Thanks

FutTheShuckUp · 09/12/2012 11:48

Ladymary- you just need proof of address photo ID- passport or driving license- my name isn't 'the mumsnetter of the house' but they still gave it me GrinGrinGrin

LadyMaryChristmas · 09/12/2012 12:05

Thanks, Fut. Xmas Smile I don't drive and my passport's out of date. The PO are very fussy here. Fingers crossed.

batteryhen · 09/12/2012 12:10

I have been nominated this year :) But I am away from home until Friday so don't know if anything has arrived. I hope nobody thinks I haven't been on to say thank you or seem ungrateful, but if anything has arrived I will be one here right away to express my thanks. I will of course be in disguise Grin

coff33andmintspies · 09/12/2012 12:16

Ah thats good batteryhen seeing as none of us know who is posting to whom we can all pin our hopes on the fact that its you that our lost parcels have gone too Xmas Grin

toomuchturkeyatendofthedinner · 09/12/2012 13:06

I've just read as far as nutcracker who posted the 2010 video.

Howl. Blub. Sniff. How lovely, that people did that, and that they took the time to make such a fab video as a thank you. Blub again. Can't wait to post my parcel later this week!!

OComeAllYeFaithBaby · 09/12/2012 14:40

Well mine arrived this week I don't know who nominated me but I am more than a bit overwhelmed! I am trying to save it for Christmas -despite being very impatient--. So anonymous luffly person, from the bottom of my heart - thank you! Xmas Grin

BiscuitNibbler · 09/12/2012 14:45

What was your MN number, OCome? Should have been on the address label?

OComeAllYeFaithBaby · 09/12/2012 14:57

MN088! Xmas Grin

BiscuitNibbler · 09/12/2012 15:24

Oh Hurrah! That's mine!! I'm so pleased it didn't get lost! I'm so glad I asked your number!

Don't panic when you see the box it is in - it bears no relation to the contents!

BiscuitNibbler · 09/12/2012 15:26

Sorry for the overuse of exclamation marks there, I got a bit over-excited! Blush

OComeAllYeFaithBaby · 09/12/2012 15:36

No I guessed that! It is sitting under my Christmas tree begging to be opened! I have peeked in the box but not opened anything!

OComeAllYeFaithBaby · 09/12/2012 15:37

Oh and thank you! Xmas Grin

Similar to batteryhen, I am another nominee who hasn't had a delivery yet. Of course I don't mind. But I can see that all the lovely MNers who've already sent stuff off, but not had an acknowledgment, are becoming concerned.

I won't be in disguise when I post about it arriving, though; because I think I might be correct in saying that the MNer who nominated you isn't the same MNer who sends the Secret Santa? So my thanks will go to both, as the nominator won't know our 'match number/s' (I think?).

Waitingforastartofall · 09/12/2012 17:42

I am a nominee who when I receive won't be name changing also. I'd like my nominee and donor to know the difference they've made in a difficult time. I appreciate the thought so much especially this past few weeks

BellaVita · 09/12/2012 17:48

I posted my box yesterday first class recorded.

KenDoddsDadsDog · 09/12/2012 18:30
