Mumsnet Secret Santa Thank You Thread. Christmas 2011.

I've been asked by RebeccaMumsnet to start this thread. Smile

A big thanks to all at MNHQ for arranging this. You little stars!

When posting thanks, please give the Santa number that should be on your gift so that people can see that their gifts have arrived. Many thanks.

A parcel from a very generous Santa has arrived: a wonderful Playmobil advent calendar to get our family in the mood for Christmas. I think I'm probably more excited about it than my boys Grin.
Thank you so much to the lovely person who nominated me - I am deeply, deeply touched by your kind thoughts.

Ghost You are most welcome. Your post thanking me has just honestly made me cry, for the first time on MumsNet! I am really pleased they all got there safely, and that you each have something under the tree and special munchies too - I know my kids love the festive stuff, but know what its like to be on a budget so wanted to treat you Grin

I hope you enjoy the presents on Christmas Day, will be thinking of you, and hope you recover soon xxx

However, I have already been the receipient of a wonderful Secret Santa gift so I hope you don't mind, I will contact MNHQ and ask if I could forward them on to someone else who may not have been so fortunate.

Hi Moss and all,

The MN Secret Santa was rather large this year with over 200 people donating (some with several gifts) and over 150 people nominated, that is not to mention the few companies who have donated and the stash we send out from our 'Magic Cupboard of Christmas Joy' [frgin]

This mean that several people will receive two or more gifts.

Please do try and come and say Thanks as and when you get a chance, folks generally just want to know that their gift has arrived!

To Secret Santa 109101

Just a Huge Thanks

This year has been very up and down.

We started the year with huge Vet bills and then had to put our beloved mutt to sleep anyway.

It kind of put us off kilter all year with our finances.

We are not on the breadline, but any extra expense puts us back, as we have to be careful.

We had planned for Christmas, then all booked overtime was cancelled.

Thank you for the gifts for the DC, it's like you personally knew them. An even bigger thanks for the chocolates. I have eaten half of them already put them away for Christmas day. It's rare I receive something just for us me.

You really have made the difference between a lean Christmas and a special one.

And above that, just the thought that someone I have never met has taken the time and expense to think of our family, is threatening to expose me as not Bitter at all, in fact quite tearful, and very grateful.

All things going as planned, we should be in a better place this time next year and I will be first on the list to donate. I now have first hand experience of what a difference it makes.

And a huge thanks to whoever nominated me too.

oh my gosh MNHQ - what can I say - thank you!! 8.15 this morning a knock at the door the postman (I never get anything delivered here before the DS's are at school!). Open it and am presented with a large (slightly odd shaped) package,.............sadly with damaged packaging (at both ends - eek boys are behind me). Anyhow, I covered it up, they knew what it was, meanwhile I pondered, oops they forgot to put the code on it......

Then I drop them at school and come home and take off the top part of the parcel and see that it's from MNHQ Xmas Shock,........it's very much like you know my boys. Absolutely lovely, and perfect for my boys. (perhaps not in the order you'd imagined they'd be with the ages of them however Xmas Grin but still perfect. Thank you so much, and thank you to the person who nominated me >
