A big thanks to all at MNHQ for arranging this. You little stars!

A parcel from a very generous Santa has arrived: a wonderful Playmobil advent calendar to get our family in the mood for Christmas. I think I'm probably more excited about it than my boys .

When I picked them I thought of the train set for your DS1 and the Noahs ark set for your youngest.

Glad we were thinking the same re which gift to which boy.
This appeal, and the thank you threads always mean I have a special moment over christmas.
We all see so much day to day which makes us ashamed of belonging to the human race (I do anyway) things varying from how people will talk to a bus driver when the service runs late, to how some people treat and view their children, that seeing the decency, care and time spent by all of you donors and MNHQ and those who used to organise it all, goes a long way to restore faith in people. Very special, especially at this time of year.
I am lucky to be part of this caring and supportive community.
And to the person who nominated me, thank you so much for giving this to my children. I really do appreciate you thinking of us and taking the time to nominate. Wish I could know who you are.

Your gift came today. The postie did the ' is this you then?' (is this a new MN's tradition?)

I really dont know what to say. I am so overwhelmed. What sort of person does that for someone they don't know?
I wish I could tell you how grateful I am but it doesnt come across in print and I will only sound like a cheesy old ham (a nice ham).

I have an idea what i will use some of it for. New bras post DC5, mine current ones are shocking!

I don't really visit MN much any more but popped in briefly to look at this thread. I am so happy that the kindness and thoughtfulness that led to the avalanche of support for the Christmas appeal the first time round, is still going on and bringing so much joy and happiness to so many people.

You should all be so very proud of yourselves for helping to make this Christmas special for so many people within the MN community, it is rather overwhelming, I think.

And of course, it has allowed me the opportunity to indulge in a little pre Christmas teariness and nostalgia

oh wow me and dd have just recieved a box of christmas gifts. Dd is running around with the tinsel, presents and chocolate coins yelling 'mummy, my christmas!' huge thank you to 1722!i am seriously overwhelmed and shed a few tears, i am so touched!we havent opened the gifts yet, will save them for the christmas day!although may sneak a couple of chocolates!hohoho, merry christmas!

TO MY LOVELY SECRET SANTA 113107 - i have just ordered a wonderful lego log cabin from amazon with our voucher you sent. i cant wait to sit down and make it with my wonderful boy over christmas. thank you again x x x

It's truly been a highlight of Christmas so far to be part of this Secret Santa, it makes me feel like I'm part of something very special.

153117 thank you so much!!! We're a bit broke this year so I've been going easy in the treats and tree decs but now have a box full!!! Thank you xxx I am stoked. The toys are perfect for the boys as well and I love the hangy up chicken thing - I have a house of wooden hangy up things so it fits right in :) I went to Germany last year (Mannheim) for the first time ever, and loved it so it's made me quite nostalgic.

I've only just been told it arrived and have JUST opened it and I just want to say Thank you so, so much whoever my secret santa was. You are so generous and I'm really, really grateful to you, and it was so thoughtful to include 2 - one for each of my sons. A field of are winging their way through cyberspace.

And to whoever mad loon nominated me for a gift this year. 2011 has been quite horrible TBH and this has just made me feel really..warm and fuzzy to my nominator
