I've been asked by RebeccaMumsnet to start this thread. Smile

A big thanks to all at MNHQ for arranging this. You little stars!

When posting thanks, please give the Santa number that should be on your gift so that people can see that their gifts have arrived. Many thanks.

My Thanks :
A parcel from a very generous Santa has arrived: a wonderful Playmobil advent calendar to get our family in the mood for Christmas. I think I'm probably more excited about it than my boys Grin.
Thank you so much to the lovely person who nominated me - I am deeply, deeply touched by your kind thoughts.
And thank you so very much to my lovely Santa638. We will all enjoy your gift enormously: a perfect choice Smile. Wishing you and all your loved ones a very Merry Christmas, and a peaceful and loving 2012. Thanks

I can't find a number to ID the parcel but thank you sooooooo much for the delicious box of goodies that came today - very touched . Mr Tiktok and the tiktokettes and sundry friends and family will all enjoy as I am going to share round selflessly (some of it...;) )

Merry Christmas!

AmazingBouncingFerret. Thank you so much for letting me know your parcel arrived safely as I was rather worried when I received the order confirmation to see the store had truncated your name to Ms M House. I'm really glad you like the items and I hope your children have fun with them. Have a lovely Xmas and best wishes for 2012. SecretSanta9191.

A wonderful hamper arrived this evening - no 7974, you either know me and my family or you did a lot of research! Something multi-sensory for ds, lovely socks for dd, even a gorgeous little top for dgs! I'm typing this next to my beautiful mood-light, eating the amazing cheese and drinking mulled wine while dd cuddles her baby and I'm feeling very warm and Christmassy Xmas Smile

There's also tea, delicious biscuits...but I don't want to make you too jealous so I won't go on.

Your generosity astounds me. A huge thank you - and of course to the person who nominated me. I'm really not sure why anyone would but I'm so grateful.

Or as cynical dd said, 'Well you're on there often enough, you might as well get something out of it!'

Cheers! Wine

midnightexpress · 14/12/2011 21:44

D'oh. beautifulgirls - I didn't realise it was a secret santa. Anyway, you are very welcome - I hope the girls enjoy them and that you all have a very merry Christmas. Sorry to hear your DD has been poorly - I hope she's better now and that next year brings only good things for you all.

Oh and I meant to say - the Pombears were a nice touch Xmas Grin

VeryGratefulRecipient · 14/12/2011 22:52

Dear Secret Santa 1511

Thank you so much for you parcel which arrived today. The chocolates are just too gorgeous and I'm afraid I've already tucked into them Grin

The clothes for DS are just absolutely spot on... You couldn't have sent better choices even if I'd sent his very precise needs for clothes what he likes. The trousers with the soft waistband, the lovely grey (and VERY soft) jumper are just perfect.

I can just imagine his face when he opens them on Xmas Day - the first thing he will do is check them for softness and I tell you, they ALL past the test Grin

And red is so his colour! The red checked shirt and red long sleeved t-shirt are just fabulous. He loves red clothes and even likes me to dress in red Hmm (if we are ever in a clothes shop he will pick anything red out and bring it to me saying 'Mummy, I thin k you should wear this Grin )

The voucher was so very generous too! Thank you sooo much. I'm thinking yummy treat food Grin

All I can say now is thank you for your generosity, your time and being a MNer, Ms Mumsnetter Wink.

The last two years have been hard going. Most months I scrabble to find the cash towards payday to buy food. Towards Christmas I always have the sense of failure, that I'm not stockpiling cupboards, hiding presents in every nook and cranny (as of course we should all be doing as per convention Hmm ). Which quite frankly is just shit - both in the sense that I shouldn't buy into the materialistic crap but at the same time...well, you know.

To be nominated was sobtastic enough. To receive such a lovely parcel is just fantastic.

Thank you again - please know that your generosity has made a real difference to mine and my DS's Xmas.

I wish you and your family a wonderful Christmas - may it be filled with joy, and a New Year that brings everything you and yours hope for.

I am so, so proud to be part of MN and all that sail in her. God bless all you vipers - I couldn't wish to be part of a better nest.

xx

beautifulgirls · 14/12/2011 22:52

Thanks Midnight - A number or a name..it doesn't matter, you are still another lovely mumsnetter who has been very kind to us and it is pretty much still secret really! DD#3 is doing much better now thanks, lots of follow up checks but over the worst (she had septicaemia in June and we are very lucky she survived). Hope you all have a lovely Christmas too. X

VeryGratefulRecipient · 14/12/2011 22:56

Bugger, a part of my post disappeared... I meant to say:

I am so, so proud to be part of MN and to be such a luck recipient of such a wonderful thing. MNHQ - merci aussi, and again, thanks to all that sail in her. God bless all you vipers - I couldn't wish to be part of a better nest.

NorksAreMessy · 15/12/2011 06:14

I seem to be leaking from the eyes.
RebeccaMN if you have done anything this year that has brought more happiness to more people, I would be astounded.

This, and the blanket threads, and the SCBU collection are truly, truly KIND things and make me very proud to be part of MN.

Er, Tiktok

(hopes it was me!)

I ordered my gift from a websit that wouldn't let me put the Santa code on the address, and it was edible so I think you might be my recipient....(although it seems to have arived early if so!) Couldyou possibly confirm what kind of edible goodies were in the parcel? Xmas Grin

(I understand that this particular company has been experiencing problems so wasnted to make sure!)

tiktok · 15/12/2011 09:44

Possibly - some chocolates, fudge, choc Santas, assorted chocolates, and did I mention chocolate? :)

Lovely, and loads of it, and in a beautiful box :)

SecretSanta1549 · 15/12/2011 10:21

LeninGrad you are more than welcome. I struggled as to what to get you personally so popped an extra voucher in for you.

I went with vouchers where you had a lot of choice from the shop as I wasn't told any specific voucher so I had to guess.

Ds1 loved choosing the clothes for boys smaller than him. He felt very grown up.

Laughed out loud at the shoe box comment. Dh is 6'3" and wears a size 12 shoe Xmas Grin he needed some winter walking boots so I nabbed the box for posting!

Am slightly gutted that I wasn't more inventive with your gifts but hopefully you will get something nice with the vouchers.

DefinitelyTiktokSanta · 15/12/2011 10:40

Oh I think it is me! Hurrah!

Very serendipitous too. Am an extremely extended breastfeeder (or was Xmas Smile) We stopped finally at just short of 6 (years)in no small way thanks to people like you making us feel normal.

Hope you and yours have a lovely time x

Could honestly shed a tear at that comment Xmas Blush it's like watching that bloody John Lewis advert!

Have read entire thread now, and saw that you were going to wait to open your parcel

I was hoping you didn't have tall children and the clothes would fit (my eldest has long legs like Dh so is 2 years ahead in trousers)

I admit to feeling a wee bit giddy buying the clothes and vouchers. It made me feel good (my Mum died last year so last Christmas I was less than festive) this year I am full of pixie dust and pretty much gleeful every day

Thank you for the amazon voucher (ref 153117) - am so excited (my favourite things - am trying to decide what to buy with it)

and to the mnetter who sent two parcels for ds2 and ds3 and a card titled 'oldest son' and something for me wrapped up in a the works bag. Not sure who it is as haven't opened the card or anything yet but so very touched.

I started a thread recently saying what a great place Mumsnet is - and it truly is. Have been so touched and in awe of mumsnetters this year.

Thank you lovely people xxxxx

Thanks and Thanks

saintlyjimjams · 15/12/2011 12:22

Next year I hope I can put a smile on someone's face (and a tear in their eye) the way you have.

OhDoAdmitMrsDeVere · 15/12/2011 12:33
