I'm thinking maybe a cashmere scarf or a remote control helicopter?

He has a scarf already though and it's a slighly dull present but then he had a RC helicopter and flew it into one the neighbours gardens never to be seen again so I'm not convinced about that either.

What are you buying?

A weight bench. And DS wants to buy him turbo glow buzz. To share with DS of course Grin

HappyAsEyeAm · 14/11/2011 11:39

DH and I don't buy much at all for each other anymore. there is nothing that we need, really. We put a £50 cap on what we spend, otherwise we would just buy bits and pieces and it would all add up and as I say, we don't need anything.

Last year, he had a Ralph Lauren wallet. That si still going strong this year, so I think I will get him some Hotel Chcolat goodies, a couple of novels, and maybe a long sleeve superdry t-shirt. That will be £50 spent.

craftynclothy · 14/11/2011 11:43

A programming book that he's been going on about for months and some sweets from the kids. I also got him a coat the other day but said he could have it now.

posterofaghoul · 14/11/2011 11:58

I'm getting DH a day course at River Cottage. It will be Christmas and birthday.

My only problem is how to live with an overexcited DH until the course date!

RightUpMyRue · 14/11/2011 12:03

I asked DP what he wants for Christmas last night. His only rubbish suggestion was ink for the printer. He did have to admit that if I bought him ink he would disappointed. Useless.

Which one is he doing posterofaghoul

gateacre1 · 14/11/2011 13:41

Mine would like a leg of Iberico ham
but it costs about 400 quid
I will probably get him a japanese vegetable knife or maybe a wine tasting session or the local butchers are running butchery courses!

posterofaghoul · 14/11/2011 14:07

The meat smoking and curing one, he is such a carnivore I think he will love it!

fivegomadindorset · 14/11/2011 14:08

I did that one, was great.

TheRhubarb · 14/11/2011 14:39

Does anyone know what those things are called that can put vinyl onto CD and where I can get one from?

DesperatelySeekingPomBears · 14/11/2011 14:39

I got mine a bridge camera (really good deal - reduced from £260 to £130 in Argos and got my £20 vouchers!), an all blacks shirt, a PC game with loads of retro sega games on it, a cadbury chocolate dispensing money box, socks, pants, chocolate coins and am toying with the idea of a BigTrak.

My DP is basically a large, hairy child.

JingleAllTheSoddingWay · 14/11/2011 15:02

This is Dp's Christmas list:

BMW X5 or X3 (real one not toy)
Apple iPad II
Apple iPhone 4S 64gb
Call of duty MW3 on PS3
Assins creed revalations
Battlefield 3
New shoes for work
Global peace and happiness

Think i'll consider the iPhone. Only coz his is fcuked though & he doesn't have many nice things. I'll hand over the PS3 games to the inlaws because they're bound to ask what he wants at some point. New shoes he can get tomorrow when he gets paid.

Now only if I could find that BMW & IPad in my pocket Grin

Pippaandpolly · 14/11/2011 16:31

Rhubarb0 that sounds brilliant. Can I ask where from?

MarksPA · 14/11/2011 16:36

TheCountessRoyalofBlood Cheers for the hyperlink sweetie. x

sweetheart · 14/11/2011 16:40

Don't bother with the big trak! Ds got one last year and dh got quite excited but after playing with it for 5 mins everyone was bored!

I'm thinking of getting dh either a home brew starter kit or a canoe type thing. I'll probably get him sweets, smellies, films to watch on his PSP and a few other bits and bob's.

sweetheart · 14/11/2011 16:41

oh, and possibly the sennar movie

sweetheart · 14/11/2011 16:41

oh yes, and maybe the celebrity juice out takes dvd

JarethTheGoblinKing · 14/11/2011 16:42

this

TheRhubarb · 14/11/2011 16:44

pippa, when I find out I'll tell you. I don't even know what they are called or how much they are, but I do know he'd love one so he can transfer all his vinyl albums onto CD. What do you put into amazon? Thing that turns records into CDs? I'll give it a go!

Aworryingtrend · 14/11/2011 16:46

I have arranged and paid for a weekend in a log cabin in March, this will be his main present as its a surprise.

Also:

  • A diary
  • Jumper or work shirt
  • Personalised Mug (99p off Vistaprint)
  • Pen (free from Vistaprint)
  • Stocking fillers probably chocolates and a dvd.
TheRhubarb · 14/11/2011 16:48

Hmm, still dunno what you'd call them but this is the cheapest. I thought you could get one that transferred it direct to a CD?

RightUpMyRue · 14/11/2011 17:01

Rhubarb, does he have a record player? Would one of these be any good?

I know nothing about this sort of thing so it may be poo.

Pippaandpolly · 14/11/2011 17:07

Sorry Rhubarb0, I'm behind in the thread-I meant the wine decanter thingy!

RightUpMyRue · 14/11/2011 17:17

There are so many games/toys on all these lists. I wonder if any of us have asked for games? I doubt it!

And after much hinting from dh last night, I've ordered Karl Pilkington's travel diary from Amazon.
