Thanks Kveta spotted the box now! I was pinning to Pinterest on my phone and didn't notice the box was ticked!

Found a load of baileys and cheap immitation similar in the drinks cupboard. Is there anything I can make to use it up that could be used as gifts?

MIL managed to find some candy canes for me yesterday. Half of them are peppermint, and the other half cherry flavoured.

WTF can i make with cherry flavoured candy canes? If i do something along the lones of peppermint bark, would it be best with white, milk or dark chocolate?

ooh cherry canes would be amazing with dark chocolate. Actually, on second thoughts, perhaps it wouldn't... I reckon you should make a big batch, send it to me and I'll be a martyr to the cause and test it for you

Would anyone be able to send my dh a pinterest invite? He's been lurking and watching on this thread and is loving it all! So far he's made marshmallow vodka, mars vodka, christmas pudding vodka, werthers original vodka and a raspberry gin on the go and he made some vanilla and honey lipbalms last night which are lovely :o He's also bought some things to make bath salts and scrubs with.

He does have an account he actually but rarely posts :o

I'm planning on making some of the mincemeat biscuits that I think were linked further up the thread, they look amazing! Oh he's looking for chutney and piccalilli recipes at the moment now too and some biscuits mixes also for christmas presents.

Reading all the vodka ideas (especially the candy cane one) makes me wish i wasnt pregnant and t-total!

addicted I'm also pregnant so can't try any of them either! They do smell really nice though. The recipe he used was www.brambleberry.com/Webpage.aspx?WebpageId=69&CategoryId=148 but he adapted it to his own. What he did was

1 part beeswax (which was 50g)
2 parts vegetable butter (50g of shea butter and 50g of cocoa butter)
1 part coconut oil
Couple of drops of vitamin E
Couple of drops of vanilla essential oil (between 1 and 3%)
Dash of honey

What he did was melt the wax and oil together in a dish over boiling water (same way you'd do chocolate) on a low heat, this takes a while
Add in the butter to the hot oil and wax and mix
Take off the heat and and the remaining ingredients before it starts to set, mix well and pour into lipbalm pots asap.

They set really quickly as well, literally before your eyes. You could see the colour changing as it set through the pots!

1 duck rattle
2 Christmas trees
4 jars of red onion chutney (made yesterday and the smell of onion chutney is STILL wafting around our house )
(and just been to my local wool shop and bought even more felt and wool and ribbons :o
