Reasons for - to prevent ill heath and protect against life altering and life trethening diseases.

Reasons against - lack of education or belief in conspiracies.

So the vast majority of the population of the UK, and other nations are not clever?
Because most people get vaccinated as soon as it's available. Millions?

Indeed. As I said, there's no accounting for stupid.

It's probably fair to say that large numbers of people are not clever (I am talking generally, not referring to anyone on this thread) but I do think that people who research disease and create and test vaccines are clever and that is good enough for me.

HanaPales · 05/05/2024 16:35

Yes of course, DC fully vaccinated. In the country I live in, you have to present an up to date vaccine certificate to enter school (glory be!). Vaccine refusal rates are one of the lowest in the world. Shame the UK doesn't introduce a similar policy.

Just as an aside (and PSA about adults and vaccines), I had the MMR as a child. When I was thinking of getting pregnant, my doctor did a blood test and discovered that my rubella antibodies were low, meaning the immunity had mostly worn off. Catching rubella while pregnant can seriously harm a foetus, so she recommended a top-up vaccine which I got. Apparently it's not that rare for immunity to decline, so I would recommend anyone thinking about conceiving to consider a test.

Because I don’t trust the government, pharma, or the BS media.
None of them have our best interests at heart

Stop with the personal insults. I have never insulted you. I have never called you not clever.
Just stop it. Argue my points, but do not engage in ad hominem attacks.
"Grow up" such a silly insult.

Goodness me. That's some conspiracy.
Is there anyone you trust?

The only person I know who is an anti-vaxxer also just brushes her daughter's teeth with water and not toothpaste 'because fluoride is a chemical' 😳that's the level of stupidity and neglect it can get to once you choose Facebook etc over medical professionals.

Let me guess that they eat plenty of heavily processed foods and sweets and soda as well as heaps of screen time.

The children are fully vaccinated. Two are +18 yo. One 10 yo.

We have paid for chickenpox, meningitis and hepatitis A + B when they were not in the basic programme.

Again with the personal insults.
Yes. I do know what "conspiracy" means.
Now either argue the points or not, but stop getting personal.
Stop saying "grow up".
It is an insult.

SuziQuinto · 05/05/2024 17:19

If "grow up" is the only response, I think that concludes any attempt at discussion, really.
You will note that I have never attacked you personally.
So. Good evening, and good luck with any communicable diseases.🤞

You believing 'it's a lot of toxic' or that it's 'too young' doesn't supercede swathes of scientific or medical evidence though.

It is not "just me" this is one independent study

plus alot of scientific evidence can come from scientist funded by pharmaceutical companies don't forget that as it was highlighted during the covid vax were it was not safe and affective like it was labeled to be

What would you call it when someone refuses to accept scientific fact, and indulges in spreading misinformation under the guise of "opinion" in order to try and convince others of their beliefs?

Well of course it's not "just you", as we see on all vaccination threads.

You must have put the wrong link though to the independent study? Because the one you've linked to is by a known anti-vax journalist who actually runs an anti-vaccination website and group.

Do you have the correct link?

I vaccinated, my LO was weak when born, if she caught measles (it was going around at the time) she wouldn't survive it for one reason.

I was nervous with all the different opinions and my cousin had a severe reaction to polio jab (but that was in the 80's has changed since then and is rare) but hence me being worried.
But heaven forbid she caught any of the illnesses she wouldn't of survived anyway :( i mean..she was hospitalised with covid, which initially i was told not to worry as babies over 6 months are rarely bothered by it, manage better then adults...not in her case.

Im not educated on it, i wouldn't understand tbh. So i trust the family doctor more then myself googling. I wouldn't know how to fact check the various information online.
