As above …. Fucking molluscum!

They seem to be spreading like wildfire, I think they look better then oh no theres 2 more! Also now seeding to new sites & I am petrified of them ending up on DCs face!

I feel like I have taken every approach possible, militant about towels, not touching, keeping them covered (lots on arms so feel like a wicked witch with long sleeve tops in the heat!) 8 hour cream ….. and then also ignoring & trying to forget about them!

Unfortunately the arm ‘crop’ 🤢now surrounded by eczema so being itched and at risk of spreading!

Not bothered with GP as of course they will say nothing to be done

Ive not actually tried mollenol/molludab but am about to drop 70 quid on an order of mollenol patches from the US, before I do, has anyone tried the above or got any other tips?

These fucking things are a massive source of stress!!

Can I ask how many thuja tablets did your little one take daily. My daughter has bn taking x4 tablets for 2weeks but still not a big improvement

Nothing works but time.

They will go away I promise. DD was 4 months and DS was about a year.

We used Thuja gel on the spots rather than tablets by mouth. Can’t remember how long but pretty quick

I completely disagree with @Didiplanthis, many GP's do just fobb you off, and many are not proactive. Many parents don't want to just ride it out for many many months, years, with a child in discomfort, with a bad rash / not very nice condition. If you do, great.

There are quite a few things parents can try. There are 100's of mn threads on this. Some children may not like it, so some parents may decide not to do that treatment again, but other parents may decide that a small amount of crying or a small amount of whimpering is worth it for a short term pain - long-term gain. If you not, fine.

I had it with both ds1 and ds2. Molluscum worked for us. I know it doesn't for some. And I also quickly learnt that just one spot that became inflamed with a big head, I could gently hold that one spot, spike and open the head, many times with a needle, that ds2 did not feel at all (so none of the screaming crying child you referred to in your post). And then warn him that there will be a short term sting, that we have to do, whilst I then put on the molludab, and this, because the immune system was already ready in the right action mode, signified by the fact that one spot was very big, meant the immune system was ready to start fighting it.

That system may not work for you, but it is one of a few suggestions that I have seen many many threads on Mum's net about molluscum that it has worked for many people.

I saw a dermatologist with my son and she advocated squeezing them out, took a couple of weeks then all gone. I did it after his bath shower they came out easily enough.
