Currently in hospital since last night with DS who is 3. Scans show masses on his brain. Drs believe them to be tumours, likely to have come from his abdomen.

Waiting for more scans/tests etc. staff are being overly nice to us which is worrying me more (though they did refer us to social services last night as they thought DH or I had fractured DS' skull.

Feel incredibly sick. He is 3 years old. Please hold my hand.

Morning, Trazzle. Did you manage to get any sleep last night? I hope your DS has his procedure early this morning so that he can eat. When will your mum be with you? It's wonderful that she's coming home early.

Jamillalliamilli · 05/10/2012 09:16

Trazzle hope everything goes well and really smoothly today, and so glad your mum?s coming back.
The two G/a?s close together won?t harm him, they're quite common.

(Re the sofa bed, it may be worth investing in a single inflatable mattress and pump from tesco?s. You can just roll them, bungee cord or Velcro, and into an Ikea bag. The whole process, both inflation and deflation, can be done swiftly and they?re a back saver.)

Thinking of you all.

Light shining out across the Atlantic from New England, for you and your beautiful boy, and for his Daddy, baby sister and grandmother too.

I am so sorry that your family has to go through this. You sound like a wonderful mother. Praying here for swift and effective treatment and a return to full health x x

Sending our love from manchester.

More hand holding from Yorkshire here Trazzle. Again, if there is anything we can do to help (I live near BikeRunSki) please do ask.

I'm not sure which hospital you are in - we spent months in LGI with DS on the childrens neurology ward so I understand a little about the never ending days and sleepless nights. As the others have said, try and eat just to keep yourself strong.

Thinking of you x

SelfRighteousPrissyPants · 05/10/2012 09:46

Love to you and your boy from Northumberland xx

FiercePanda · 05/10/2012 09:55

Love and support from Scotland, Trazzle. As frightening as it must be, your DS is in the best place getting great care. Hope his op this morning goes as well as it can. I love that he has his own wee Gruffalo rucksack, you can keep filling it with treats and surprises to keep his (and your) spirits up. Thinking of you xxx

Trazzletoes · 05/10/2012 10:29

Morning. DS due back shortly. I didn't make it here in time before he went up, so I'm looking forward to seeing him. I managed 7 straight hours sleep last night which was much needed. I think my body realised it couldn't cope anymore.

DM is coming up early next week and staying for as long as we need her. She's amazing.

DSis is coming for the weekend as well and we should have a few other visitors too. DD is really chesty after a cold so we can't bring her on the ward til she is better. It'll be good to have extra visitors around this weekend to keep DS' spirits up.
