Currently in hospital since last night with DS who is 3. Scans show masses on his brain. Drs believe them to be tumours, likely to have come from his abdomen.

Waiting for more scans/tests etc. staff are being overly nice to us which is worrying me more (though they did refer us to social services last night as they thought DH or I had fractured DS' skull.

Feel incredibly sick. He is 3 years old. Please hold my hand.

Trazzle I am going to bed now, will send positive thoughts across the ether to your little boy. Hope tomorrow is bearable and he is seen first thing so that he can eat reasonably quickly.

that is my attempt at a flickering light , rather rubbish I'm sorry.

hellymelly · 04/10/2012 22:59

Oh even more rubbish as now I've pressed post the stem of the candle is somehow on the left instead of underneath. Oh well. The thought is there for you, even if the virtual light is unfathomable.

Another spodge from Sheffield. Thinking of all of you and hoping for good news tomorrow for you.

I was starving after a GA, then projectile vomited, then starving again. I'm sure your ds will love the bag of snacks waiting for him when he wakes up.

Light from Essex x Thinking of you all x

ToffeeWhirl · 04/10/2012 23:33

I hope your lovely boy got his MRI scan in the end and was able to enjoy his bag of goodies. Good luck for tomorrow. Hope you manage to get some rest tonight.

Trazzletoes · 04/10/2012 23:38

Yup, he's back on the ward, called for daddy and is allowed to eat until 2.30am so DH is going to try and encourage him to have some high calorie milkshake, if nothing else.

Also had the good news (for us) that DM is cutting short her holiday in the States to come up and help out (wild horses wouldn't keep her away - we didn't ask her to come home, obviously) as DH will inevitably have to go back to work soon.

Good he is back on the ward, he must be so tired. I hope he will eat and then have a good rest.

Pleased that your DM will come and help out - it is a blessing to have somebody close and trusted nearby in these times.

I hope you will all have a good night and that tomorrow will be a little more straight forward for all of you and no waiting for your DS.

ToffeeWhirl · 04/10/2012 23:50

Great that your son is back on the ward again, Trazzle. I hope he manages to eat something. Also, it's fantastic news that your mum is coming back to support you. Go and get some rest now, if you can. You must need it.

Splodge of light from here too. I've been in hospital with DS when he was 17 months, so I can relate a little bitvto what's happening.
