Currently in hospital since last night with DS who is 3. Scans show masses on his brain. Drs believe them to be tumours, likely to have come from his abdomen.

Waiting for more scans/tests etc. staff are being overly nice to us which is worrying me more (though they did refer us to social services last night as they thought DH or I had fractured DS' skull.

Feel incredibly sick. He is 3 years old. Please hold my hand.

So sorry. Sending lots of positive wishes your way. I'm in Leeds. If I can do anything at any point I'm there. Big hug and kiss xx

FelicityElectricity · 03/10/2012 04:35

So sorry this is happening to your DS and your family. My DS is the same age. Thinking of you and hoping for good news. You sound like a lovely Mum doing her best in an awful situation.

Iteotwawki · 03/10/2012 05:00

He's so gorgeous!

Another one who couldn't read and not post although I imagine words are cold comfort right now.

Holding hands, offering hugs and thoughts. Will light the candles for your gorgeous wee boy tonight.

Please go easy on yourself - try to make sure you eat at least once a day, drink plenty and try to rest when you can.

HeffalumpsAndGoldenWoozles · 03/10/2012 06:13

I've just seen this in active convos, what an awful thing to be having to go through. Words always sound so flat, know you are being thought of and your beautiful boy is going to be in a lot of people's prayers tonight.

Hand holding and thinking of you xx

pushmepullyou · 03/10/2012 07:05

Trazzle, I'm in Yorkshire. Work in Sheffield but travel miles throughout Yorkshire every week. I can help whenever you are ready.

I hope you have been able to get some sleep tonight - thinking of you all. Your little boy is gorgeous xx

EdMcDunnough · 03/10/2012 07:05

What a gorgeous, sweet looking boy.

I am so sorry to read what they've said. I don't know anything about this illness but I will pray for your little lad and for all of you x

BuffyFairy · 03/10/2012 09:18

I'm so sorry to hear your news. I haven't read the whole thread, will catch up soon.

He will fight, sweetheart, you have faith. I'll be there to support you, anything you need.

I'll pop back later.

expatinscotland · 03/10/2012 09:33

Hope you get some answers soon, Trazzle.

My daughter spent from November, 2011-July, 2012 in an oncology unit and there were many we met who had neuroblastoma. We know a couple who have travelled to other countries for treatment if the NHS couldn't help them.

Let me know if I can help in any way. xxx

piratecat · 03/10/2012 09:35

morning Trazzletoes, you poor love, i am so sorry to read of your news.

Firstly, your son, he is absolutely gorgeous, wow you must be so proud!!

As someone else said, up till now you have been mummy, doing normal mummy things. Some of those things are really boring and have to be done otherwise we would be surrounded by dishes, mess, rubbish. You love for him shines through and i can understand your shock right now, perfectly natural.
There IS hope, the doctors have said. I can sympthise with feeling you should have done more, you didn't know why he's been poorly, and have been there when you get a bit narked when they seem to be ill, or dawdling and all you are trying to do is get things done.
Please try to eat. Drink lots of tea, maybe they have a salad bar in the hospital cafe? or some flapjacks are good for a bit of an energy boost?
Washbag, and fresh clothes if someone can go home for you and get those? Moisturiser, sounds trivial but it can freshen you up and rehydrate you a bit.
Does ds have his fave cuddly with him? xxxx

festivalwidow · 03/10/2012 09:38

Sending thoughts and prayers to all of you from here. xx

IHopeYouStepOnALegoPiece · 03/10/2012 09:43

Am sending thoughts and prayers to you all xxxx

ToffeeWhirl · 03/10/2012 09:43

I hope you and your son managed to get some rest last night, Trazzle. Good luck today. I hope you get some better news.

BerryPie · 03/10/2012 09:48

I am so sorry that you are all going through this. There is always, always hope. You are in my thoughts xxx

crappypatty · 03/10/2012 09:48

Sending positive thoughts and hope to you and your family, he is adorable x

MiggleMoo · 03/10/2012 09:49

Trazzle, I am so desperately sorry for what you are going through. Neuroblastoma is a horrid cancer but the rates for survival are good. As soemone said earlier there is a really good charity called Families against Neuroblastoma, they have a FB page and website and offer lots of support both emotionally and practically.

My nephew was diagnosed with this last year, after operations and a time in GOSH he appears to be making a full recovery. My thoughts, prayers and wishes are with you for the same outcome. Xxx

orangina · 03/10/2012 10:20

Oh Trazzle, so sorry to hear your news, can imagine your head will be all over the place with this. Really hope you managed to get some sleep last night and that your lovely boy gets the best possible treatment. Am thinking of you both. x

LemonBreeland · 03/10/2012 11:11

Trazzle, so very sorry to hear the news. Your little boy is gorgeous, and it just defies all logic that little children get sick with cancer.

I hope that you get some better news next week in relation to treatment.

BarmeeMarmee · 03/10/2012 11:34

Trazzle so sorry the news wasn't better for you all. Your boy is gorgeous - and with such mischief and delight in his eyes Smile. He looks like he has spirit in bucket loads.

I'm nowhere near Yorkshire but am reaching out and still hand holding across the ether.

If there is anything you need (piles of magazines maybe? (for you and him!)) or anything practical I can send I am more than happy to...

Sending love and more prayers.
