Currently in hospital since last night with DS who is 3. Scans show masses on his brain. Drs believe them to be tumours, likely to have come from his abdomen.

Waiting for more scans/tests etc. staff are being overly nice to us which is worrying me more (though they did refer us to social services last night as they thought DH or I had fractured DS' skull.

Feel incredibly sick. He is 3 years old. Please hold my hand.

What a beautiful boy you have. I'm so sorry about the news you've received today. Sending strength to you, your son, and your whole family.

Bunbaker · 02/10/2012 23:20

Your family and gorgeous little boy are in my thoughts and prayers. I see that you are in Yorkshire. Is it the children's hospital in Sheffield or are you in Leeds? Both hospitals are fantastic and I hope your son makes a good recovery.

InVeryveryBadTaste · 02/10/2012 23:20

Tazzel

My hand is holding yours tight and my other is around your shoulder.

You will get through this a day at a time. Your overwhelming and unfaltering love for your baby boy will give you the strength to meet this head on.

Please don't feel guilt of what if's and why's. Move forward and know you have always and will always be the best Mummy.

My thoughts are with you .

ToffeeWhirl · 02/10/2012 23:56

He looks such a sweet-natured boy, Trazzle. I hope you both manage to get some sleep tonight (although it can't be easy with the baby too). Hopefully, now that you have told your family and friends you will get some RL support, as well as MN support. Have been thinking of you all day. x

2mummies · 03/10/2012 00:20

So very sorry to read of your unbearable situation. There are times that feel completely un-recoverable from, but you sound to be a strong and loving family, and however horrendously bad it feels, and however much you just wish it wasn't happening, you will pull through it, together, hour by hour, day by day, just keep loving each other and looking after yourselves, and no matter what, you will get through it. You've no choice but to be strong for your children, and you are, even when you are crying. Your their mummy and daddy, and nothing is more comfort to them than that.

I hope and pray that your adorable boy can be treated and brought back to full health. My thoughts are with you and your family tonight.

Sending you lots of hand-holding, hugs and support from across the Atlantic.

Please look after yourself: eat, shower, and allow yourself time to react however you want and need to.

You, your family and the doctors treating your son will be in my prayers.
