The 13-Storey Treehouse is the first book in the completely addictive Treehouse series, written by Andy Griffiths and Terry Denton. Five books later and this series has readers completely hooked by its hilarious adventures and cracking cartoon-style illustrations.

The 65-Storey Treehouse is the fifth book of wacky treehouse tales. Andy and Terry's amazing 65-Storey Treehouse now has a pet-grooming salon, a room where it's always your birthday (even when it's not), a lollipop shop, a quicksand pit, an ant farm, a time machine and Tree-NN: a 24-hour-a-day TV news centre keeping you up to date with all the latest treehouse news, current events and gossip. Well, what are you waiting for? Come on up!

Find out more about the series

To be in with a chance of winning £100 worth of books for 6 - 12-year-olds including a full set of Treehouse books, just tell us - what series do your children love to read and why?

Harry Potter - I think it's because Daddy likes it and has forced it onto them!

DS1 is 10, and over the last couple of years he has loved the following series:

Harry Potter
Spooks (Joseph Delaney)
Skullduggery Pleasant (Derek Landy)
The Hunger Games (Suzanne Collins)
Maze Runner (James Dashner)
Wimpy Kid (Jeff Kinney)

and we've just started on reading Terry Pratchett together at bedtime, which he is loving despite me having to explain a few references.

When he was a bit younger he loved:

The Railway Rabbits (Georgie Adams) - the first series he got really into and demanded the rest of the books!
Horrid Henry (Francesca Simon)
Beast Quest (Adam Blade) - thankfully shortlived as every book was the same!
Rap Rhymes (Tony Mitton) - he used to cackle with laughter at these
Enid Blyton's Secret series, plus Faraway Tree and Wishing Chair series.

My little girl has just discovered and loves Horrid Henry books. She would love to be as mischievous as Henry but is more like Perfect Peter.

DS (7.9) just finished Hamish and the Never People on the way home from holiday today. Brilliant book, he's been really into it.

I'm not sure even how he ended up with it, I'd not heard of then before, think a relative might have given it to him, but he's hooked now! Will be ordering the next one tomorrow.

Also

Harry Potter
Roald Dahl
The How to Train Your Dragon series
Swallows and Amazons
My Gum - also highly recommended, just brilliant!

We've enjoyed some of the Treehouse books, which we borrowed from the library. I have one that will try most things and one that isn't keen to try things unless she's sure she'll like them, so she particularly likes to find a series.

One or other of mine has enjoyed most of the usual popular series ,
Harry Potter
Wimpy Kid
Famous Five
worst Witch
Dirty Bertie
Dork Diaries
Ramona
My Naughty Little Sister
Daisy and the trouble with
Agatha Parrott
My Brother's Famous Bottom
Hundred Mile and hour dog
Owl who was afraid of the dark

a few others they've liked

Dragonsitter
Cupcake Diaries
Wendy Quill
Wild Thing
Phoebe and her Unicorn
Bullerby children books
Pippa morgan's diary
Shrinking Violet
Princess Disgrace
Melanie Brown stories
Cosmo and the Magic Sneeze

They like books that are funny or exciting

My kids are loving the Meg and Mog series at the moment. I have introduced the series to them because I loved the books as a kid, and it's great that the books have stood the test of time, because they're really enjoying the adventures too.

My daughter loves reading Horrible Histories which she finds fun without thinking they're educational. Wimpy Kid series because they're fun and written like a diary, and also anything written by Roald Dahl.
