To celebrate the publication of George & the Noisy Baby, we're working with Ladybird Books to find out which books you read to your children to help send them to sleep.

Share your favourites on this thread and one lucky participant will receive a whole bundle of Peppa Pig storybooks and other exciting goodies. There are also ten copies of George & the Noisy Baby for the runners up.

To enter our competition, just write in and let us know which books you read your DCs when bedtime has gone awry. We want to hear about classic storybooks and new finds – does ‘Goodnight Moon’ work for your baby, or is ‘Go The F* To Sleep’ more their thing? Share your stories on this thread before 10am on Monday 30 March. George & The Noisy Baby is published on 5 March 2015.

My 19 month old son is Peppa mad! He recently started singing the Peppa theme song. It's the sweetest thing I've ever heard.
He's a book monster at bedtime. He loves Monkey Puzzle the most, The Gruffalo, Hungry Caterpiller, and Rainbow Rob are all firm favourites too.
He's open to anything with colourful illustrations though.
Peppa pig books would probably blow his little mind!

Two favourites for bed time are by Jill Murphy. They are Whatever Next and Peace at Last. My son also loves the books we got from doing the HENRY course and I have to read at least one of them once a day to him.

Goodnight Moon :}

Sleepy Me by Marni McGee always does the trick with DS2 if I read it really softly and slowly.

ameliabeanie123 · 29/03/2015 21:59

My almost 7 year old and I are currently reading the Worst Witch series together before bed.

Both her and her 2 year old sister love Winnie the Witch books.

GatoradeMeBitch · 30/03/2015 00:16
