@Josephsmumma is your scan date the 21st September? I got the text on the 25th nov also and still haven’t had a decision called Friday it was with decision maker then I’ve just come off the phone now it’s still with decision maker 😬

Josephsmumma · 19/12/2022 09:19

@Mam2mcc my scan date is the 20th September. So hopefully not too long then I just need a yes or no lol so I can get the ball rolling either way

parsniiips · 19/12/2022 09:40

I phoned this morning regarding a change of circumstances claim.

This week is week 22 of waiting for us after sending the claim form in July. Claiming mobility now my child is 5.

He said it is still in the holding queue but is very close to being allocated to a decision maker, potentially later this week. Due to Christmas holidays it will probably be very end of Dec or early Jan for a decision to be reached.

Very frustrating and worrying due to cost of living, not being able to work as much etc just hoping that they award the mobility payment and backdate for me.

Has anybody else made a claim for mobility once age 5 for behaviours like unpredictability, no awareness of danger etc ?

mammaov3 · 19/12/2022 09:55

I just had a phone call from them i thought they was going to ask me more questions about my sons health but she just wanted to double check my address and seid its now in a queue whatever that means scan date 23rd sep 🙄

Josephsmumma · 19/12/2022 10:05

@mammaov3 thats good news they are double checking details!! Well that’s how I’d look at it

mammaov3 · 19/12/2022 10:10

Josephsmumma · 19/12/2022 10:27

@mammaov3 yeah I’m hoping to find out this week been so stressed with it and too bloody scared to ring them lol Christmas definitely will take my mind off things even tho that’s also stressful

dandymum · 19/12/2022 10:28

Just acknowledging they have it, mine was recieved by them 16th august and dm got it on the 15th November

Josephsmumma · 19/12/2022 10:30

@mammaov3 yeah you’ll probably get a letter confirming the outcome but you’ll might get a text also but if you don’t get the text then money in bank will tell you before you receive the letter specially with all these strikes happening

mammaov3 · 19/12/2022 10:37

@Josephsmumma Christmas definitely a different kind of stres two but im hoping will take my mind off this for a couple of days fingers crossed for you two 😊

mammaov3 · 19/12/2022 10:39

Josephsmumma · 19/12/2022 10:42

Kaylisa · 19/12/2022 10:49

@Amber2802 i think that means they will only backdate to when they received it/scanned it on. I’m not sure.
did you send it back regular post?

Amber2802 · 19/12/2022 10:57

I had to send it back by 21st October. Posted using the envelope provided on 10th so gave plenty of time. I won’t be expecting a result anytime soon though. 😅

Youngatheart91 · 19/12/2022 11:19

So I called up this morning. (Scan date was 21st September) & my son has been awarded on the 15th December 😊 MRC & LRM. Just applied for carers allowance from the woman’s advice and spoken to UTC & they have a disabled child element to their payments & no longer have to look for work (I have been signed off work for months to look after my son so can terminate my contract with the NHS). Massive relief. I have been a carer & NA since 18 for dementia patients & disabled patients & now feel I did all this so I could provide the correct care for my son. The universe works in strange ways. Good luck everyone. I will keep an eye on this feed and cross my fingers for you all.

mammaov3 · 19/12/2022 11:22

@Youngatheart91 congratulations so happy for you and your son

Youngatheart91 · 19/12/2022 11:23

Thank you. I felt so sick with the wait. I can relax and focus on him now

Gracelove1 · 19/12/2022 11:35

Phoned up this morning, scan date 22nd Sept. Still not with a dm. She said it will be weeks away yet...surely not? 😩 it's so frustrating how we all get told different things. On Friday I was told it will be picked up extremely soon. 😭

Josephsmumma · 19/12/2022 12:08

I’m currently on hold I’m so nervous 😩

Josephsmumma · 19/12/2022 12:36

@MsChatterbox @mammaov3 hey lovelies I took the chance and rang them long nerve wrecking wait on hold but my little man has been awarded 🙂 some tears on the phone should be in bank tomorrow or Wednesday xx

MsChatterbox · 19/12/2022 12:37

Amazing congratulations!!

mammaov3 · 19/12/2022 12:37
