If the date they received it is past 6 weeks from ringing though will they backdate?

mammaov3 · 18/12/2022 14:32

@Kaylisa it depends if you returned the form by the date it says to return it by on your application if you sent it back later than that date they will not backdate it unless you had a reasonable reason as to why it was sent back late.
normally you only get 4 weeks i think to send it back , they will only backdate iff you sent the application back before the deadline date not by when you rang up for the form

I think ring them around mid week, it's so bloody nervewracking isn't it. When he said to me a decision was made I was nearly sick 😫

My scan date is the same as yours and I had the decision text at 4pm today (Sunday 🤷🏻‍♂️). You will probably get your decision in the next couple of days.

I’ve just got my head to accept a decline 🤣🤣 cause don’t think I sent enough most people saying she’s a normal 4 year old so waint get nowt 🤣 I’ve been trying to figure out how they decide to what a 4 year old should be able to do like her speech is at 16-26 months, she’s in nappies I have to bath, dress her she has a beige diet, suspected ASD, on meds for severe constipation 🤷‍♀️likes to be alone doesn’t play with other children in nursery

mammaov3 · 18/12/2022 21:55

@R2FyeSBMYW1iZXJ0 hi what is your scan date?

R2FyeSBMYW1iZXJ0 · 18/12/2022 22:07

Mummytogirls87 · 18/12/2022 22:14

mammaov3 · 18/12/2022 22:14

Yea I got told it’s normal for parent to still dress and bath there 4 year old 🤷‍♀️ she screams soon as I put her in the bath till I get her out it’s horrible, she holds onto the pram doesn’t let go but will only walk so far then wants picking up. She’s still awake now 😐 under a sleep therapist got told to change colour of my light bulbs

Mummytogirls87 · 18/12/2022 22:26

@Wintersmummy96 its so stressful people just don’t understand 😒 I honestly thought my daughters claim was going to be declined because I only sent 2 pieces of evidence in and school are rubbish xx

I have a feeling mine will be declined, I sent in SEN plan, letter from her child development practitioner but the senco also filled out the pages on the form I sent in letter from doctors but hadn’t even been scanned yet but I don’t want it delaying xx

R2FyeSBMYW1iZXJ0 · 18/12/2022 23:11

You’ll be fine, I only sent one report from the hospital and 1 statement. Citizens advice did help fill in the form which I think helped a bit.

Mamabearalw · 19/12/2022 00:08

Hi all been checking this thread for a while trying to get my head around the procsess. Called to get the form september sent back mid october. I called last week to see if i could send evidence as at the time of sending the form I hadnt had a letter back from the peaditrican, so Iv sent that letter and a letter from her school saying shes on the send register. I Had a text on friday saying We are still looking at your DLA1 Child claim. When a decision is made we will confirm it in writing. There is no need to contact us about it. Does anyone know if this means its with the decison maker or acknowledging they know its past the 8 weeks the women said on the phone there averaging 13 weeks for a decision which takes me to mid jan its all so confusing.

Josephsmumma · 19/12/2022 07:25

Hi has anyone had a decision? Scan date the 20th September

Wintersmummy96 · 19/12/2022 08:13

Anyone ringing today? Good luck everyone

R2FyeSBMYW1iZXJ0 · 19/12/2022 08:17

I had that message 8 weeks after the scan date.

That’s what I’m concerned about as I sent it back within the six weeks but it wasn’t scanned till over a month later!

Shellbel10 · 19/12/2022 08:57

Any news how long mandatory reconsiderations are taking?

Josephsmumma · 19/12/2022 09:03

I’m too nervous to ring 😬 13 weeks tomorrow haven’t heard anything since a text on the 25 November my anxiety is through the roof at the moment actually feel sick

Wintersmummy96 · 19/12/2022 09:11
