Hi,

I created a new thread as the old one is reaching its limit.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

@Mummyjustmummy thank you so much yh my daughter is the same 4 lots of meds but not the sleep med just yet, I honestly didn't think she would get it, and then when the dm rang to double check before awarding her hrc I was so happy, it's only for a year and said to start keeping evidence for renewal if its no better how old is your daughter x

Mummyjustmummy · 29/10/2022 08:36

@Hayhoarematthews my daughter is 11. I sent in a lot of clinic letters even got her bowel nurses to fill out a section in the forms. I just hope this time it’s straight forward and not like the past where Iv had to really fight for it. My daughter was awarded hrc too hope she gets the same this time round

Hayhoarematthews · 29/10/2022 09:00

Yh me daughter is nearly 10, yh I got her bowel nurse to write a letter along with her school senior, hopefully it's a simple renewal for you and no fighting is yours on a yearly basis to? X

Mummyjustmummy · 29/10/2022 09:26

It was a two year award last time. I hope they extend it this time round as her issues are ongoing she’s very dependent on the rectal irrigation. The only thing I didn’t add in was anything from school. Yet she has been given toilet pass and uses the toilet around 4-5 times during school time and has to change her continence pads

Polly21x · 29/10/2022 09:45

i called back yesterday again on hold for 40 odd mins but the man I spoken to was amazing!!! He told me I was awarded yesterday! So not sure why the lady was so rude! I didn’t have a text even though it’s on my notes to Received text message a letter is on the way I literally didn’t have to ask him a single question he told me everything before I could even ask payment dates, backdate payment date, future payment dates, renewal dates he also told me about some extra help I’d be entitled to I can’t explain how helpful he was

Hi All, I’ve been following this thread for a while. Like all of you I’m so nervous and the wait is really adding to my anxiety. This thread has kept me going. Scan date 24th August so know I’m a long way off getting a decision.

DS is 7, on the ADHD and ASD pathway. so Worried I haven’t sent in enough evidence as he hasn’t been diagnosed yet.
Only sent in his initial assessment report.

He masks a lot at school and all though I’ve shown his Senco teacher videos of his 40minute meltdowns at home over a packet of wotsits having changed their packaging (limited Halloween ones!), often he goes into school late because he refuses to go in and I have to wait until he has calmed down and agreed to go, they often have to prise him off my legs screaming and crying to get him into class, he has fallen asleep in class several times as he wakes all throughout the night often up anywhere from 1am-5.30. He can be awake for hours or if he does sleep through it’s normally only until 4 then is awake for the day. The school failed to put any of this on the ‘supporting letter’ so I didn’t include it as it was literally one paragraph saying he lacks confidence and needs a sensory toy to help with his emotions!

Has anyone else been successful with just the initial assessment report?

sorry for the super long message x

@Gemma96x Hello, try not to be nervous, although I did pap my pants when the lady said why she was calling - haha! She only wanted to know about night time, so questions relating to that eg. how long for my daughter to settle, how often she'd wake up after, would she wander, how many times a week this happens etc. She was lovely, but didn't give anything away. She told me it would be 7-10 days, but she must have made her mind up pretty much straight away because my daughter was awarded that day. I too only had the diagnosis form, nothing else, so don't worry. Hope it all goes okay for you and you hear shortly, the same for everyone else waiting :)

MissEllie2 · 29/10/2022 10:13

@Polly21x congratulations!!!! I’m very happy for you as I know you were not feeling very hopeful!! Can I ask what rates you received and what evidence? Congrats once again 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
