Hi,

I created a new thread as the old one is reaching its limit.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Polly21x · 28/10/2022 14:00

I actually can not believe this! My claim was with dm 2 weeks today! Once I was told from a man that it would be within 2 weeks and to call after 2 weeks lady who was rude gave me no hope yesterday put me on a downer so I decided I will call today hopefully I can get some answers! I’m still on hold 59mins!!!!!! I’m going to hang on a little longer

Hayhoarematthews · 28/10/2022 14:05

@Polly21x good luck mine is nearly a week with them get told different things last lady said once with dm they work in date order 🤷‍♀️

Kas76 · 28/10/2022 14:12

Muy scan date is 1st August, I called Wednesday and the lady said 13 wks and wait a couple of weeks to receive a letter . The wait is so long.

Polly21x · 28/10/2022 14:14

what are everyone’s suggestions??? I was on hold for 1 hour and 4 mins! To be answered and cut off not sure if this was a mistake probably was but I’m so annoyed all that time should I call back or not?? It just seems like I’m so far away and getting nowhere help??

alwaysonthegomum · 28/10/2022 14:16

@Gemmalouise2 @MissEllie2 honestly I can’t tell you how relieved I feel. I cried on the phone the woman thought I was sad I had to tell her it’s because I was so happy he finally got the support he deserves and someone finally listened to me xx

Polly21x · 28/10/2022 14:17

@Hayhoarematthews thank you seems like I’m getting nowhere! Everytime I call I get told different things x

alwaysonthegomum · 28/10/2022 14:19

@Polly21x it wasn’t with a dm Wednesday so must have gone to them yesterday and decision made this morning literally about a minute after I called to see if it was with someone yet I got a text to say he qualified and the lady I spoke to rang me to tell me as I had just that minute out the phone down to them xx

Hayhoarematthews · 28/10/2022 14:32

@alwaysonthegomum @Kits45 just had a call from the decision maker as she wanted to check a few needs for her night time, she said it is an unusual case that she only has had 1 other a few weeks back but has issued hrc and lrm for 1 year as that's all they could do it for with her needs but so relieved to finally have a answer

Hayhoarematthews · 28/10/2022 14:38

Yh she said she was going to award high but wanted to check a few things you and me both I know it's only for a year before renewal but even so that will help so much

alwaysonthegomum · 28/10/2022 14:51

@Hayhoarematthews really pleased for you glad your wait is finally over too x

Hayhoarematthews · 28/10/2022 15:03

@alwaysonthegomum thank you and you to it's Iver for another 9 months untill the time to renew 🙈

Polly21x · 28/10/2022 15:07

@alwaysonthegomum do you think there is a problem with mine?? For it to be with a dm for 2 weeks today x

Hayhoarematthews · 28/10/2022 15:15

@Polly21x Mine was with them a week, I had been told if they need to contact people you have listed it can take a while longer x

MissEllie2 · 28/10/2022 15:25

@Polly21x I know you got cut off but just call again, at least when you get through you’ll have another answer as to period of time! Might ease your mind for a little bit. I’m sure if there was any info they needed from you they would call you. I believe that DM’s have all different sized case loads they have to get through and they probably don’t all work at the same pace. Definitely try calling again today for a little update. Good luck 🥰 keep positive xx

cnt4 · 28/10/2022 15:31

@Hayhoarematthews no nothing

Lor39 · 28/10/2022 17:12

Thank you I got it in the post today I was hoping there was a quicker way but hopefully they get it all early next week. Good luck for yours.

alwaysonthegomum · 28/10/2022 18:15

@Polly21x id just give them another call on Monday x

I had a scan date of 21st July. Someone from the dept called me on Tuesday to ask a couple of questions. Convinced myself my daughter wasn't going to get awarded, so called today... She was awarded 2 days ago - HRC & LRM until 2026. I'm so happy & relieved that somebody has listened and she can get the help she needs.

Hello my scan date is 3rd august I'm just wondering what questions does the dm ask over the phone thank you I'm just so nervous

I no its taking ages to get a yes or no I'm very anxious due to my son has autism so is very hard to show evidence off this apart from his diagnosis report which is all I have so feeling very doubtfull for him to be honest x

Mummyjustmummy · 29/10/2022 00:00

That’s such good news @Hayhoarematthews. Iv sent my daughters renewal off on the 12th October. Her award runs out on the 27th November. My daughter is double incontinent. On a lot of medication for bladder and bowels along side rectal irrigation. Also has melatonin for sleep. Iv had to really fight for my daughter each time I have had to appeal and attend court hearings in the past. Her difficulties really affect her quality of life.
I’m so happy for you x

Shellbod81 · 29/10/2022 00:02

@Gemma96x from what I see on here the majority of children have autism , and are very successful in getting the help their dc needs so fingers crossed you’ll be fine ….my son has an autoimmune disorder which attacks his blood vessels causing severe rashes and pain and swelling on his legs feet and ankles ….henoch scholein purpura (HSP) the last 13 months have been terrible for him some days he can barely walk 😞my concern is as they don’t know how long it will affect him and that could affect his claim but it’s really rare to have the amount of flare ups he has x
