So my scan date is the 1st August and it's with the decision maker now the lady said I should know by end of week.

Morning all, I’ve been following these threads for a while but thought I’d come and say hello. Scan date is 10th august. My DD had received DLA in the past but I missed her renewal, stupidly, so keeping everything crossed it’s not going to take too much longer now. Keeping everything crossed for all of us waiting

I’ve just rang up and mines been with a case worker since Friday - scan date 29th July x

Anyone who has called today have they said what date they are working up to?

Hi I'm 3rd august still nothing x

Do they normally ask for sort code for security question , I've never had that before, they've asked for the bank I bank with but never the sort code.

Yes they have asked me this before x

Ahh OK thanks.. was hoping it was a kind of clue that my boy was going to be awarded. 🙄 I hate this waiting

I no me too just Hope I've sent enough evidence in as I only had my son diagnoses report and nothing else xx

I didn't even have that as he's waiting for an asd assessment all I had was school reports . X

Hi have just seen on a DLA Facebook group that they are working up to the 3rd August this week. My scan date is 9th of August so hopefully next week. I am very nervous that we will be turned down . My son has been diagnosed with Autism band has a EHCP but he he is high functioning ( I know we shouldn't say this anymore but I don't know how else to describe it) . on all his reports they state the many negatives and hardships but also the many positives and things that he is great at. He has perfect behavior in school not not so great at home!
I feel like the positives will outshine the negatives and he won't be awarded 😒.

Only evidence I’ve sent is ieps and copy of sleep meds prescription. Scan date not until 16 aug so few more weeks

@Shaimummy thanks hun, what group is that please?
i know it’s nerve racking the wait, I too had evidence that pointed out his problems but some were to say how well he was doing. Makes it difficult because nobody really sees the day to day life just what’s written in paper from a doctor that spends 20 mins with them!

Hi Kmcx93 sorry I am new to Mumsnet it is not letting me directly reply back, . The facebook group Is called DLA for children, advice and support. Yes I agree with u totally. These reports come from Doctors and Nurses Who have met my son once and from education staff who see a totally different side. Defo keeping fingers crossed and wishing you the best.

@Shaimummy my DC is similar and we were awarded last week. Higher care and lower mobility.

@Shaimummy the diagnosis report from the paediatrician was all I sent in as evidence but I did outline the struggles as well, the report was balanced and says how academically able my DC is but also the difficulties
